Camaro SS in Japan

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

Cars are like food. Their main aim is to satisfy and fill your appetite for a variety of motoring cravings. And as of late I fell like my diet has consisted of too much boosted Japanese machinery sprinkled with the odd tasting of more tantalizing Euro exotica. So the other week I thought I’d get myself the motoring equivalent of steak and mashed potatoes, although this particular car came with dollop of hot sauce! I wanted to see for myself how driving and living with a modern day American muscle car would fare in one of the world’s most cramped cities. Continue reading at Speedhunters

PSFRACER

So far Paul has managed to get into the low 10s, but he is working to get into the 9s–to do that he will have to change the camshafts and cylinder heads to more aggressive units. This is actually Paul’s second silver Mustang GT. The first one got totalled by an 18 wheeler in February of last year–the roll bar saved his life. Paul swapped the engine and suspension into the car you see here. See more pics on Paul’s 2006 Ford Mustang GT ride page and check out his track videos at StreetFire.

Bullrun Season Three, Episode One: The Beginning

By Mike Musto

RideLust.com

Bullrun Season III is officially underway with one episode down. Over the last two seasons true fans of the show have seen it develop and pretty much know what to expect. We know there are going to be explosions, cool cars, some type of automotive carnage and of course, the Big Man himself, Goldberg. As a former contestant from season one I think I have a pretty good idea of not only what to expect, but more importantly, what is going on in the heads of the contestants. Throughout the season I’ll not only be following the show, but I’ll give you my opinions on what I see on screen. These are things that you as a regular viewer might have missed.

Hitting the Christmas Tree

By Brian Lohnes

BangShift.com

It’s the ultimate drag racing party foul, running over the Christmas tree. Aside from being rare and usually pretty spectacular, it is a major pain in the ass for the track personnel. Once the tree gets wiped out, all the glass from the light bulbs needs to be cleaned off the track and if there was damage done to the electrical hook-ups, it can take hours to get another tree working properly. These guys pulled the ultimate whoopsie doodle.

Stuff happens, but to hit it on a Harley? Happy viewing.

The Ultimate Sleeper

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

How many of us were taken through the streets of childhood in a minivan? I was, and I hated it, I couldn’t dare be seen in it. At the tender age of six my family bought a 1993 Mazda MPV and used it for everything from towing the boat to shuttling our stuff across the border during our move from Canada to the States. Ten years later when I got my driver’s license, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that I would inherit the dreaded minivan. Continue reading at Speedhunters
