NYIAS: Furious Fuchsia

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

We got to see the Plum Crazy Challenger in Detroit and now Dodge has rolled out a Furious Fuchsia Challenger for New York. I was curious to see this color in person and thought it looked pretty sharp. Which color do you like better? More pics after the jump!

NYIAS: the New Scion tC

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

There was some excitement in the Scion booth, as the new tC was introduced. It’s rather hard to remember when the tC was first introduced in the States, and it’s one of the more successful Scion products, so when coming out with a replacement, Toyota was a little conservative, with basically the same styling, an increase in horsepower, larger tires and brakes, and a new six speed automatic along with a six seed stick.

NYIAS: The New Chevrolet Caprice Cop Car–Why Can’t We Get a Civilian Version?

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

Well, here is the new Chevrolet Caprice police and pursuit vehicle. It’s rear wheel drive, has a 6.0L V-8, and it’s not available to the general public. This is so sad, as it would make a radical muscle car. It would definitely make an Obscure Muscle Car!

NYIAS: The New A-Team Van

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

There’s a new A-Team  movie out this summer, and if you grew up on the original series, the ultimate icon for the show was that tough black GMC van. Well, the van is back, and I for one am glad to see that the producers didn’t substitute the original with an Express. This van is so badass, and who knows,  it may very well give the vanner some traction. Well, maybe not. More pics below the jump!

NYIAS: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3

Just got back from the live unveil of the new SLS GT3 customer race car, which should be through the homologation process in time for next year’s race season. Looks pretty sweet, huh? More pics after the jump, including shots of the street car, which is now officially priced at $183,000.

Just a preview for now, but I thought you would like to see the type of vehicles that will be displayed at the new Dezer Museum set to open on 11th Ave in NYC. More pics below the jump, and click here to look at more information.

NYIAS: The Nissan Juke–A Jaunty Little SUV!

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

Today, the Nissan Juke made its debut at the New York International Auto Show. Though this is a right-hand drive show that isn’t yet ready for the North American market, Nissan representatives promise it will be here soon. With a lot of similar offerings already in the showrooms, I have to wonder where this one will fit into Nissan’s lineup. Any thoughts?

NYIAS: The New Suzuki Kizashi, Suzuki’s Jetta

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

Wandering around the show before the show opened, I managed to take a couple of shots of the new Suzuki mid-sized Sedan. The Sport version was supposed to have gotten a 3.6L V6, but GM sold enough of Suzuki to VW that it’s stuck with a 2.4 instead. So is Suzuki late to the party, and will it be lost among all the other mid-sized appliances on the road? You decide.

NYIAS: Saab is in the House

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

We’re in New York. I just did a quick tour of the floor and it looks like it’s gonna be a pretty quiet show. Saab doesn’t have any press conferences scheduled, but it’s nice to see them here, and the 9-5 looks good! More pics after the jump!
