Ride the F430 At Ferrari World

By Jen Dunnaway

They’re building a Ferrari theme park in the capital city of Abu Dhabi–yep, some parts of the world really have that much money. The four-seater F430 roller coaster is only one of the array of automotive thrills that the park will offer–another, according to Jalopnik, is an F1 coaster that’ll do 149 mph, handily beating the piss out of the NASCAR roller coaster at the Sahara in Vegas that I made such a big deal about last time we were at SEMA, and which turned out to be such a disappointment to Rob. Stay tuned.

It’s not surprising that Abu Dhabi has that much money considering they rip it out of our pockets through the gas pump. I’ve ridden alot of record breaking rides. That’s not hard considering most of them reside at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH which isn’t far from where I live. The last one I rode was the Top Thrill Dragster, a 1/4 mile long drag race themed coaster (hence the name), which hits 120 mph and is 420 ft tall. It’s since been outdone, but knowing Cedar Point, they should be building the world’s first 500 ft roller coaster soon. It will probably hit 160 and shatter every record known to man. They don’t like being No. 2 at all.
