Caption Contest: This Week’s Winner!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
It seems like all of CarDomain’s Los Angeles crew is ill, except for me and Sully, one of our ad-opts guys. And while I don’t want to wish an evil zombie plague on my colleagues, the office has been super peaceful, and I’ve been getting a lot done. Anyway, this week’s winner is DanCJ7, who came up with; “Fine! You can have the car, I’m keeping the Jeep.” Bravo buddy! Tune in tomorrow for the next installment of our germ-resistant Caption Contest!

Evo Magazine Drives a Capro T1 on Public Roads
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
The Capro T1 might look like something that escaped from an F1 paddock, but it’s actually street-legal, and the blokes from Evo Magazine were crazy enough to take this 575HP beast on a road trip across England. Given the car’s history—the floor fell out when Jeremy Clarkson tested it, a prototype caught fire at 160MPH, a suspension failure a wrecked a journalist, the throttle jammed open at Goodwood—that’s a pretty ballsy move. Of course, if I had the chance to drive this baby, I’d take my chances.
Camera Guy Down!
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
During the recent SSS Gecko Cup drifting event, a drifter took the corner just a tad too fast and slammed into the barrier. Just behind the barrier, an unsuspecting camera guy took the brunt of the wreck and was knocked a few feet back on his hind. This just goes to show you that being a camera guy in motorsports has its risks. Read more about the accident at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.
Ford: No Bailout Translates Into Big Profits
HotRodHoney
How happy are Americans that Ford didn’t take government bailout money? Apparently, happy enough to be spending their hard-earned cash on Fords–for the first quarter of 2010, the Blue Oval is posting a $2 billion profit, and has in fact sold 56% more cars and trucks in the first 3 months of 2010 than it sold a year ago. Their sales are so strong that they even have the best market share since 1977.

Lonely Pinto Needs Home
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
Out cruising with Chris yesterday evening, I noticed that this poor Pinto wagon–one that I first saw at the beginning of winter–was still sitting out in the weeds on this industrial-district road south of Seattle waiting for its forever home. The slightly soggy sign in the window says it’s a grandpa car, and that the old man was a Boeing engineer who used it back in the day to commute to his job–which was working on the 747. Cool! They’re asking 800 bucks, but I bet that at this point, $400 cash and a tow dolly would easily relieve them of the little wagon. More pics after the jump, and PM me if you’d like the seller’s phone number.

Defining the Sports Sedan
By Chris Trout
Troutster52
Much in the same way that the term muscle car is debated and overused, the precise definition of a sports sedan has been blurred gray since the creation of the term. According to Wikipedia, a sports sedan is a “sedan automobile that is designed to look and feel ‘sporty,’ offering the motorist more connection with the driving experience, while providing the comfort and amenities expected of a luxury sedan.” Wikipedia goes on to say that many sports sedans overlap the executive car classification and are typically imported vehicle brands. The rest of the article seems to reveal the haziness of the category classifiers, incorporating domestic sedans and automatic transmissions.
