Griot’s Garage Steps Up The Detail – New Flagship Store

By Ryan Porter

Late last year I fell in love with a car on the cover of the Griot’s Garage catalog. Wanting to know more, I ended up on the Griot‘s Garage’s blog, where I saw a story about their all new “barn find” of a building.

Now, I spend massive amounts of time in my garage, and I have a knack for taking way to much care of my car (if that’s even possible). And when Weston and I had the opportunity to tour Richard Griot’s private garage last year, I was pretty blown away. So I couldn’t wait to see what Richard Griot and his team had in store for their new building.

Continue reading after the jump to see how this “barn find” building got finished out, with build images and pictures from the big open house party over the weekend.

For all the photos check out the entire gallery in the CarDomain Events area. And for all the guys who we’ve already heard from, we’ll try to get a private tour very soon where we can get more detailed photos of the build out. Trust us, we’re just as excited about it as you are!

If you look in the event gallery you will see the huge break room they have with a very nice kitchen. I believe they are calling it the Indy Cafe.

That car coming out of the ground reminds me of a cross between “Cars” and “Night of the Living Dead”. It’s eye-catching for sure, but I’m not sure I’d want to bury a car like that…
