Dodge Spreading Voodoo Magic…10 Cylinders At A Time
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
Sometimes the automotive world dishes out stories that just make you smile. Maybe you still own your first car, or perhaps you own a car that has been handed down through the generations. Or maybe it’s something as simple as the car you own just makes your 6-year old nephew smile. In the end it really doesn’t matter what the story is as long as something positive comes of it. Yesterday I got a call from my buddy Scott, he is an independent contractor who has been working exclusively for Chrysler as a product specialist on the auto show/specialty event circuit for four years and in his travels he gets to see some pretty cool stuff. So when he contacted me about a story he wrote about a first time car buyer, I just had to listen. He went on to tell me about a gentleman by the name of David Williams who decided to plunk down some of his hard earned greenbacks on his first new vehicle. What was that vehicle you might ask? How about a limited edition 2010 Dodge Viper ACR Voodoo Edition… not too shabby right?

O’Gara Coach: So Much Awesome it Hurts
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
O’Gara Coach specializes in Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti and Rolls-Royce, and the showroom is even more mind-blowing than you’d expect an exotic car dealership in Beverly Hills to be. Seriously, just check out the photo below. A Koenigsegg CCX is on the left, a Bugatti Grand Sport is on the right, toward the center of the shot there’s a Lamborghini Reventon and a Pagani Zonda R, and in the back corner, there’s another Veyon and an LP670 SV. I mean, come on. Aside from SEMA, I’ve never seen so many rare high-dollar exotics in one place, and it was really cool watching the staff shuffle all the million-dollar metal around. One thing that struck me was how mild-mannered the Grand Sport sounded. Apparently, Bugattis are total pussy cats until you mash the throttle, at which point you produce a sonic boom. But even in the midst of such distinguished company, I was totally hypnotized by the track-only Zonda R. It looks like something that escaped from Area 51, and when I closed the carbon fiber door, it was so light I was momentarily disoriented, like if I’d gone to move a boulder and discovered it was made of foam. When it was being pushed into the showroom, one of the folks on hand described it perfectly: “It looks like the Batmobile just did a line of coke.” I wish I’d come up with that. Watch some videos of these awesome machines after the jump, and head over to the events section to check out all my photos.

Power Tour 2010 Route Announced
By Ryan Brutt
HemiPwr70
Hot Rod has announced the route for the 2010 Power Tour. We’re going to pass right through Macomb, IL where I went to school for a few years. I know of MANY muscle cars sitting in the fields around there. Take a look at carsinbarns.blogspot.com for my recent trip out there. Obviously I will be making a stop in this area… I think I left a 74 Dart Swinger there.
This year’s route takes us all over the place, from the fields of Iowa to the Gulf of Mexico. We really are traveling to two extremes!
Along the route are a variety of interesting places to hit up. I might try to hit up the Wellborn Muscle Car Museum on the Friday of the Tour–that’s the closest we will get to it. Also for breakfast on Sunday I will be hitting up Charlie Parker’s Diner as was seen on Diner’s, Drive In’s and Dive’s. Also you can hit up the Corvette Factory if you would like.

The interior would probably look something like this. I dunno, I’d be afraid of getting it dirty. Check out Kalani’s ’55 Fairlane page for more pics!

Did You Like The Stock Tires That Came With Your Vehicle?
By Rob Einaudi

I loved the Mustang Bullitt we had a while back but I wasn’t a huge fan of the BFGs that came stock on the car. I’ve been lurking a bit over at IMBOC and it seems like a lot of Bullitt owners replace the stock tires with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS, especially if they do much driving in the rain. How about you? Did you like the stock tires that came with your vehicle? What did you replace them with when they wore out?

Cars and Coffee
Grassroots Motorsports
These early morning car and coffee events have been gaining some steam lately. They’re a nice, relaxing way to hang out with other enthusiasts. They also don’t suck up the whole day.
The Orlando Automotive Club will host one of their monthly meets this coming Saturday. Their fields have been very nice, too, featuring a mix of European exotics and vintage classics. Go be social: orlandoautomotiveclub.com

Video of Fiery Lambo Crash in the Czech Republic
By John Coyle

I posted about the aftermath of this horrendous crash yesterday, but that footage didn’t show the actual wreck. When it hits the wall, this Gallardo goes up like a Roman Candle. Be warned: the still images at the end of the clip are graphic.
