Vandalized!

By Jen Dunnaway

This is why I’d never advise parking your car across two spaces, no matter how cool you think your paint is. All it takes is one psychopath with a rattle-can. Or a key. Photo via Hooniverse.

Vatican Endorses The Blues Brothers

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

According to Yahoo News, “on the 30th anniversary of the film’s release, “L’Osservatore Romano,” the Vatican’s official newspaper, called the film a “Catholic classic” and said it should be recommended viewing for Catholics everywhere.” I’d say it should be recommended viewing for everyone, but am glad the Vatican is now on board with this legendary film.

When he looked out his window, he witnessed a white male sitting in the driver’s seat of his father’s Cadillac. The victim confronted the suspect, who fled the scene on foot. Gary and Pam Beineke’s 1971 Dodge Daytona in the A2 Wind Tunnel

By Brian Lohnes

BangShift.com

Gary and Pam Beineke’s series of 1971 Chrysler wing cars are all based on early 1970s Chrysler documents that showed the company had tested scale models of aero ’71 cars in the wind tunnel. These reports were kept secret for decades, and once unearthed, served as inspiration for Gary and Pam to build several of the “never built” cars. Their latest is a 1971 Dodge Daytona built in the likeness of the Bobby Issac driven, K&K Insurance sponsored 1969 Daytona. Instead of just doing a show car tribute, the pair built a real land speed racer and have attacked Maxton, with plans for Bonneville this year as well as Loring, Maine. They went the extra mile and put the car in the A2 wind tunnel to get an idea of how the car would perform at speed. Continue reading at Bangshift.com

Just When You Thought You Couldn’t Be Any More Awesome…

I was lucky enough to have largely missed the whole spinner-exhaust-tip thing, but for a while in there, it seemed like it was everyone’s favorite WalMart-grade accessory to make fun of. Of course, there was also the flame spinner-tip, which made its owner look even more supremely awesome and which provided an easy $44.95 solution for those who didn’t want to deal with the liability or refueling costs of actual exhaust flamethrowers. Check out the video if you haven’t already seen one of these babies in action.

Rally Car Rides Two Wheels

Who says we need to have costly hydraulic systems and air ride to hit a two wheel corner? Getting some vertical sideways action, all it takes for a rally car to get jiggy is a tight suspension and the right corner camber. Read more about the two wheeling rally car at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

Tiger Tears It Up At Sears Point

By Jen Dunnaway

I’ve had Tigers on the brain lately, and I’ve also had Infineon Raceway on the brain–I’m going to be there this weekend!–so I was stoked to find this video of a little Tiger running some laps at the fabled road course. I like that the soundtrack isn’t so overbearing that it drowns out the burble of that Ford V8.
