Lingenfelter’s Latest Trans Am
Bick66
Much like the first Lingenfelter 2010 Camaro-based Trans Am conversion, they’ve brilliantly managed to bring the essence of the early 1970′s Trans Am into the fifth generation. With the Pontiac nameplate having been put to rest, the odds of a production Trans Am are slim to none, but this is one way that Pontiac lovers can keep the dream alive. Under the hood you’ll find an LSX block sporting a very appropriate 455 cid, and an impressive 11.5:1 compression resulting in a healthy output of 655 horsepower and 610 lbs ft of torque. This badass machine is currently running with the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour. See one more picture after the jump, and read more over at LSX TV.

Ten Coolest Car Hoods: Mopar FTW!
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This week Jalopnik asked their audience “what’s the coolest car hood?” and then followed up with a top ten list. Mopar scored three of the ten spots, with the Shaker hood, the Viper hood and the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Air Grabber hood below. And that didn’t even include the 69.5 lift off hood in their original post.
So what’s your favorite car hood?

A Case Of Bad Gassers
By Sam Barer
Sound Classics
Here’s one of the best cars from the Mason County Forest Festival Car Show — a 1955 Chevy Two-Door Post straight axle gasser. Only Lady Godiva herself could have turned more heads rolling down the streets of uptown Shelton.

Not much info on this one other than the cryptic sign on the roof, but I doubt it survived long. Via ThatWillBuffOut.

Message To Left-Lane Lollygaggers

If you’ve got a long haul ahead of you, it’s not a bad idea to bandage up your finish with painter’s tape. But before you put the hammer down, an inverse-lettered advisory to those dawdling along in the left lane might help smooth your progress as well. Of course, anyone doing the speed limit in the passing lane is probably too oblivious to check their mirror very often. I wonder if this worked. Via Jalopnik.

Flash often makes night photos look like crap, but here, it illuminates the Camaro just right. Clearly the best photo on the Chevy Camaro Facebook page, though I also came pretty close to picking this one.

Hot Rod Power Tour 2010: Day Four, Bowling Green KY
By Ryan Brutt
HemiPwr70
Last night my partner in crime arrived, Rob Wolf of Mopar Collectors Guide joined up and will be chilling with me for the next few stops. So we got up and made our way to the Du Quoin Family Restaurant, meeting up with a few of our good friends in the 69 Superbee and 70 Coronet Convertible.
We left by 9 am but with a slightly changed plan, while we would be leading the Tour for a bit, we were going to do some photos for a upcoming issue of MCG and were going to peel off with the 69 Superbee sometime during the Tour, and the rest of the group would continue on without us. So we gassed up and hit the road.
