muscle_truck – i don’t know how it is up in Canad but down in the US not all cops are power crazy. I agree that cops shouldn’t break the laws as bad but really who drives the exact speed limit other than old people. I highly doubt if someone sees a cop going 5-10 over the limit on the highway that they’ll go “ok he’s going 55 in a 45 so let me do it”. People are going to do what they want to anyways, i understand a cop should be a role model but now a days people don’t look up to cops as role models anymore, most people are ignorant thinking all cops are the same and are bad cops abusing their power. That’s like seeing someone on a Harley Davidson and automatically thinking they’ve done time and are criminals when really only about 1% are criminals, hints the term “1%ers” in motorcycle clubs.

and just so you know “muscle_truck_4x4″ I’m going to go through training to be an officer and to be straight up honest i WON’T be one of those asshole cops. I used to do crazy stuff when driving so i won’t write a ticket or send them to jail for every little thing, I’ll look at the whole situation and the person’s record (both driving and criminal) to figure out if they should get a ticket or a warning but some things will be bad enough to get a ticket or jail no matter what. I was given 2nd chances a couple times so i’ll do the same if i feel like i can depending on what they did. so if you want to hate all cops then be my guest, just don’t call 911 when you need them. I love the haters, they hate them until they need them.

it doesn’t surprise me that a cop crashed his car, the cops around town are the worst for not following the rules, if they’re gunna break it they better have their lights on other wise they should be held to the same driving standards as the rest of us, but realistically they are all power mad fools who live by do as i say not as i do mottos and they dont set a good example for anyone.

can you imagine how fast he was driving???? an officer was in a foot pursuit of a burglar and he was responding. i mean look at the car. what do you think, WELL over 100mph????? is that necessary at ALL? its a body on frame panther not a tin can. i almost don’t care what the scenario was, he was driving at least 50mph faster than he should have been. rain or no rain that spells disaster.

90xjpunk, you’re too quick to judge with too little information. Have some respect for those who risk their lives for others. Being a cop is one of the most difficult jobs there is. They have to deal with things most people would never want to see in person, that also goes for paramedics, emergency room personnel and firefighters. Not a walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination.

i’m glad he’s alright but i’m still trying to figure out how the hell the cop even survived that. i have a feeling he either blew a tire that made him swirve into it or most likely just clipped another car going around it which made him slide into the pole. if you notice it’s sitting in a parking lot so it had to of moved and stopped at least 10 feet away from the pole, especially when the damn trunk lid is in front of the car. i know even cops make mistakes and i’m sure i’ll understand that since i’m going to start training to be a cop next month but when you’re going in a residential area it still should be a top speed limit to go. i might could understand if the fellow cops were being shot at but being that it was just a foot pursuit he shouldn’t have been going so fast that the car wraps around the pole that bad and hard.

as much as i rooted for the cop in that taser incident i’d love to see what the black box says as to how fast this a$$hole was driving. responding to an officer needs assistance in a foot pursuit….and you do this??? hes lucky he didn’t kill another motorist/pedestrian
