Extreme Unimog!

By Karan Singh

StreetFire.net

We love the Unimog. They remind me of Sloth from the Goonies or an English Bulldog, so ugly they’re cute. The Unimog is to the Europeans as the H1 Hummer is to us Yanks. Watch as this badass Unimog take on the rocks at Moab!

Roush-Yates Backed Justin Humphreys Testing New Pro Stock Mustang

By Mark Gearhart

powerTV Media

If you look back nearly 25 years you may be able to find a strong contingent of Ford power in the NHRA Pro Stock class. Since that time there have been attempts to regain the prominence that the likes of Bob Glidden once had behind the wheel of a Ford but to some dismay those attempts have usually foiled out quickly. While Glidden was a fierce competitor and racked up 85 national event wins, no one has come close to duplicating these performances behind the wheel of a Ford. Check out more on this story at StangTV.com

FT-86 Still on Track

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

Our buddy Adam Zillin over at 7Tune.com has been closely following development of the FT-86, and at a recent Toyota press event in Japan, Adam took the opportunity to get the latest scoop on everybody’s favorite car of the future.

Contrary to reports that the project had been delayed, Adam was told that the car is still on track for a release in November 2011, with development about 50% complete. Meanwhile we still wait for word on how much power the car will be packing when it hits dealers.

Slowly but surely, the car is shaping up. Can the fall of ’11 come any sooner? For more, head over to 7Tune.

A Spec Racer Flies Flips and Tries to Kill Turn Workers

By Brian Lohnes

BangShift.com

While we generally hate the hell out of “spec” racing, it does provide very tight action, expecially on road courses. That tight action can often lead to wreckage, normally it is not as wild as this though! Apparently no one was seriously hurt, which is a miracle in our eyes.

As bad as the on-track crash is, things get super scary when the car leaves the ball yard and tried to flip into innocent bystanders. LOOK OUT!

Team ETC Camaro

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Is this the craziest fifth gen Camaro yet? The LSX 454ci crate motor paired with the Turbonetics 91mm hybrid turbo is good for 1,400whp and 900lb-ft of torque. It was also converted to a solid rear axle with ladder bar suspension and back halved with a custom carbon fiber tub. 3,800 man hours and $320,000 later, this is the result. Get all the details at PASMAG

Epic! Nissan Micra Takes Flight

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

Jumping over a public road and into the tree ridden abyss is by far one of the craziest things I have ever seen. This takes much more than skill, it takes pure testicular fortitude. The Nissan Micra is by no means a safe vehicle to be flying like a squirrel through the trees, but low and behold they did it! Out of Clonakilty, Ireland legends are born, and this video is by far of epic status. Read more about the flying Micra at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.
