A Multicultural Mashup

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

This thing is so creative and awesome on so many levels. Lets start with the SR20 motor swap into a Jeep. Already we’re off to an interesting start! A classic Watanabe wheel choice, some crazy custom body work and suspension work take this ride to a higher level of intrigue…but throw in a McLaren F1-esque center driving position with a single Bride bucket seat and this thing is worthy of some serious praise for originality!

A Multicultural Mashup

Whoever produced this thing has some serious creativity and original style. This is one of the most interesting things I’ve seen all year. Its ride like this that make blogging worth while (both to read and to write) because otherwise we’d all most likely be missing out on nutty stuff like this. I’m a fan.

i suppose that does look right. but then its had the fenders relocated and been chopped quite a bit. i first saw it on hellaflush of all things and everyone said it was a scrambler, which it is very obviously not.

90xjpunk, it appears to be a Mitsubishi CJ-3B.

At first glance I was like why…WTF?! But then the more I thought about it… it’s badass!

i don’t know that a body on frame with two solid axles are the best foundation for whatever this guys trying to do, but that is definitely NOT a Jeep. it might be a Mahindra or some other asian knockoff but definitely not Jeep.

I always thought the old CJ’s would look cool on the ground. Kinda like a hi tech jeepster
