That wreck happened about 1/4 to 1/2 mile from the apartment building I used to live in, and my ex-girlfriend missed witnessing the crash firsthand by about 45 minutes. Weird.

This was local news for me! The video is ridiculous, 2nd major car wreck by a teenager in a week. What are they teaching now a days! Thanks god he is alright and i hope that he has learned his lesson.

This happened about 2 miles from my house. I drive this section of road every day, and I really never paid attention to over passes, but seeing the video, looking at the area it happened in, and when it happened, it is truely amazing that no one died in this accident. The pillars still are covered in oil, and there are skid marks at the very top of the concrete beams that hold Wagner road.

If you look at the video, and see an object sliding across the road, that stops in front of a white car, that is his body being ejected from the car. you can see him slam into the highway, and actually slide past a car…

Truely truely insane. This kid obviously has a reason for living, and he better make use of his gift…

I do see alot of name calling and people saying all sorts of bad things about him, but, before you all decide to condemn him now, why don’t we let the facts fall where they will. He is alive, and no one else was hurt. The last thing the family needs now is everyone across america calling the kid a douchebag.. whether or not he was speeding or not…

He was not drunk or on drugs. He was actually check out and cited by another police department 20 minutes earlier. He was caught with an under age girl,15 yrs. old, in a bowling alley parking lot but they were not doing anything. Her parents were called and they picked her up. He had an unopened drink in his car, but he was under drinking age. The cop said he found “trace”, amounts of drugs?? Maybe the smell of grass in a clean empty baggie??? and something that “could” be used as paraphanalia. Maybe a straw from a McDonalds drink?? Didn’t say what but didn’t have enough to haul him in, just wrote a ticket????? Sounds more like a harrasment thing to me. He was tested for alcohol and was clean and was not considered to be stoned, that is reason he was released. They did use the terms “trace and could” when talking about what they claimed to find. If they had something they should have hauled him in.

I am stunned that he wasn’t killed, and even more stunned that no one else was involved. They should determin the cause and factors and if alcohol or drugs were the reason then they need to through the book at him. What this was, was not having care and control of a vehicle and turning it into a leathal weapon.

He was running from the police, he lost control. Almost lost his life.. What an idiot.. it took forever to get through that mess.. I was on my way home and ran into the traffic snarl later) thankfully only he was hurt. He probably will wish he had died when they send him the bill for that bridge.

With the way that this car turned to rust dust when it hit the pillar I am inclined to think that something mechanical broke on the car. Alcohol or drugs may have been involved, but cars usually do not disintegrate like that without prior rust damage. this video is from Ohio the land of salty roads. The body of the car looks in poor shape a the start of the video. It is a miracle that he survived the initial crash.

74Furyous – Actually i saw somewhere else that he had just got released from jail. But when I was 21 I got up at 4 AM for a job, didn’t last long though because i was to eager to try trucking but getting up at 4 AM then doing a 12 hour shift, not getting home until 6:30 PM didn’t bother me.

I hope he/she pulls through this. I don’t know if it was distraction, inebriation or mechanical failure, but no doubt someone rushed to the hospital when they got word… too easy to empathize. Cars can be special, but family is irreplaceable.
