VW House
By Ron Honig
WaytooFurious
Now I have heard of people living in their cars, and I have seen people who have built houses to accomodate their car collections. However until now I had never heard of anyone building a house to look like their favourite car. One couple in Austria love the VW Beetle so much that they had an architect design their dream house/car. Get the full story here.

I love the color effects, even if they’re a little psychedelic at times. See more at HONDASSIR’s ride page!

8 Dead, 12 Injured in California 200

I can’t even believe how horrible this is: an off-road truck rolled over and plunged into a crowd of spectators at the dry lakes of Lucerne Valley, CA, this weekend, and a too-close crowd of spectators camped out at the course’s treacherous “rockpile” paid the ultimate price. The driver was uninjured, but spectators–who by some estimates were within four feet of the hot track, with trucks racing by at 45-50 mph–did not fare as well after the Misery Motorsports truck went out of control after getting airborne, rolled over, and landed on its roof. Four bodies were found trapped beneath the truck once it was righted, and people had their kids out running around by this dangerous stretch of track–one victim was seen shoving children out of the truck’s path before he was crushed. Automotive Trim: Sweat The Details, Make The Difference
By Ted Berner

I’m renewing the look of a 350-dollar 1990 Volvo 240 I found for my sister. This car has many minor things that needed attention, and one of them was the faded, scratched and chipped trim around the windows and lower body. Never underestimate the importance of having good-looking trim; you can have great, even new paint but bad trim will draw all the attention. Fixing this is inexpensive but takes a little effort and a little know-how. Continue reading…

The 2012 Mustang Boss 302
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
Ford officially announced the return of the Boss 302 Mustang to coincide with this weekend’s historic auto races at Laguna Seca. The original Boss 302 is one of the most iconic Mustangs ever, made famous in the SCCA Trans Am series by Parnelli Jones. How will the modern version stack up?
Based on the new 5.0 Mustang GT, the Boss 302 kicks things up several notches over the already capable GT. Ford’s press release sums things up quite nicely:
“Driving the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 was intended from the outset to be a visceral experience, packed with raw, unbridled performance across the spectrum: Acceleration, handling, braking, and top speed are all equally matched for perfect balance on a car operating within the framework of legally defined safety, noise and emissions regulations.”
Under the hood, the five-oh has been hopped up a bit and now produces 440 horsepower. The only transmission offered will be a close ratio six-peed with a “race-inspired” clutch. Continue reading at Speedhunters

A Bad Motorcyclist Pays the Price
By Brian Lohnes

Riding a motorcycle is a dangerous enough enterprise when you are talented at it and generally know what you are doing. It becomes a painful experience when you are an idiot, like the man shown in this wild video. This may be the first time that someone involved in a rear end style accident can use the video proof to show that it wasn’t their fault.

What Did You Do This Weekend?

I had a great night at the Valley 6 Drive In with Chris and the Impala. Though The Expendables and The Killers turned out to be two of the most forgettable pieces of fluff in Hollywood history, it was awesome to get the convertible out under the stars on an uncharacteristically warm Seattle night.
How about you? What did you do this weekend?
