Sad Vintage Racing Wreck
By Karan Singh
StreetFire.net
Watch this original steel-bodied classic Camaro bite the dust during a Trans Am race. Initially, it just looks to be going for a bit of a grass ride. But then, bam: it hits the wall, and things get ugly from there. I don’t really think that’ll buff out.

Today’s photo references that hilarious Challenger hidden-camera ad that’s been making the rounds. Red Letter Dodge is apparently giving away a few of these as poster-sized prints.

Perfect for that Mazda-loving Dad in your life. Wait… does anyone actually have a Mazda-loving dad? I hope not, because these appear to be one-offs created by this weird jeweler, so your dad can’t have them anyway. Via Jalopnik.

A Poncho-Powered Ford
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
As far as this month’s theme goes, this car is really as “old school” as it gets. It started out as a 1951 Ford two-door sedan, but there aren’t many factory parts left here. For starters, both the front and rear axles have been moved forward a bit. “Genuine Pontiac Parts”…on a Ford? And check out the window sticker. Yup, this thing is packing Pontiac power. A hopped up “Super Duty” 421 to be exact. Continue reading on Speedhunters.

Brake Failure Sends Rally Car Spectator Bowling
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
Amazingly, no one was hurt in this video, but man they came close! Apparently the car in this video suffered a brake failure of some kind, causing it to overcook the corner and head right toward a truck ringed with spectators. They all jumped out of the way, some flopping down what seems to be a grassy hill. This is another example of just how risky some of the viewing areas on a rally course can be.
Pay close attention to the driver and how he manages to spin the car around just before certain impact with the truck. He probably did it to save the car, but it may have bought some of these spectators the millisecond they needed to get the hell out of the way!
The Most Insane Grand Am You’ve Ever Seen
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
It was built as a turn-key show car, and it’s got 3 miles on the 454 big block. The custom-fabbed nose is “held in place with 24K gold plated Dzus fasteners”…yeah, those must make it go faster, right. Perhaps more remarkably, it’s entirely street legal and functional, right down to working windshield-wash nozzles and other everyday creature comforts that seem a little out of place on such an uber-built trailer queen. Yep, and the seller is calling it an ISCA show car and wants 100 grand for it. Check out the auction on eBay!
