Cruisin’ Caskets

By Brian Lohnes

One of the sad realities of life is that everyone eventually dies. Despite the fact that you are really pretty out of it when dead, people like to get creative with the vessel that they will be spending the rest of eternity in. The old pine box is just plain gauche when you get a look-see at a Cruisin’ Casket hot rod burial box. Truth be told these are pretty bitchin’.

While the website featured some Merc looking pieces, Cruisin Caskets claims that they can create other makes and models on a made to order basis. We may contract them to create a mini-Goliath for us to take the dirt nap in.

The shots with the lid up actually give the impression that the interior is pretty darned comfy. We just hope the pillows aren’t lumpy. That would be annoying as hell.

That’s insanely cool, but I wonder what the pricetag for something like that would be. Also, they seem to be made to order… and one size only. Seems the burly corpse model fit allright, but sometimes coffins come in smaller or larger sizes.
Looks like a startup company, they should expand their selection but what they’re doing right now seems to be nice and unique.
Oh and Furyous… if all goes wrong on a Ninja, what remains could be buried in a Ninja’s gas tank ;-)

Could they build a Kawasaki Ninja? Now that would be a funeral to remember.

Agreed! I dont know why you would want to bury something like this after you have spent all that money to never see it again!! But on the other side of it, it is very nice and cool lookin!!!

Personnally, I think caskets are a waist of money. They look all nice and then get burried…I couldn’t think of something this NICE looking being burried, couldn’t you just get cremated and use this (above) as the marker? At least that way everyone could see it from the road.
