Cool Old-School Colt For Sale On CarDomain

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

From our Rides For Sale section comes this pristine ’77 Dodge Colt. I love how even in its current pics it looks just like the cars in the magazine ads on benetti’s ride page, right down to that mint red-on-white interior. She wants $5K for it, which might be a little high, but who knows? With their JDM styling, these Mitsubishi-pedigreed Colts could very well be a future classic. Check out the ad.

Very nice Stock Colt. I would say a Very fair price, for a car that looks like it came off the Show Room floor, and gets Very Good MPG.
Does it have the stock 1.6l 4 cylinder with 4 on the floor? Body style looks like a Mini Ford Maverick from the front and side. Check out the early 70′s Mavs and you’ll see what I mean.
I Love Your outfit in the thumbs up pic!

I think $5k is fair benetti. Very few “old colt’s” left in Canada.

Wow nice job keeping it imacculate !! It looks as good as new. Hopefully some collecter will buy it and keep it in it’s original state. Good luck with the sale :)

Thats an art piece, museum quality almost. Roof is alittle faded but looks all original red on white. Great color choice.

I had an ’89 GT and loved it. My buddy had a red Colt with a 4 speed in the late 70′s when we were in college and it was fun and reliable. He even put 4 spoke Cragar-type mags on it. Great car; I’m sure you’ll sell it soon, even for 5k.

I like the car. The car is beautiful. I like the color of the panty hose she is wearing. Are those from the 70′s too?

I’ve seen a pristine Chevrolet Caprice (1975) for sale for nearly $100,000, with 7 original miles and plastic still on the seats. Granted this has been drive (I assume), $5000 for essentially a new car sounds like a good deal. If there are die-hard fans of this car (i.e., someone who owned one in the past and loved it) then the asking price seems fair. The fact that it didn’t undergo a total restoration is quite amazing. Best of luck selling the car!

You should look up movie car companies and offer it for rent. You can make several hundred dollars per day if it is used. It is rare and period correct so using it in movies set in 1976 through the early 80′s would be a natural fit.

Thanks for blogging Jen. I’m open to offers, price is very difficult to determine because I can’t find another one for sale like this! The paint and interior are all original.

As clean as it seems to be, I think $5,000 is a good price. How often do you see these anymore?
