Opening Day At DirtFish Rally School

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

The incredible DirtFish just opened its doors yesterday, and they invited Rob and I out to the wilds of Snoqualmie to take a look around the place and thrash on some cars in the mud. It’s a rally-driving school that covers over 300 acres of former Weyerhauser property–with a skid pad, dirt and gravel trails, slalom, the bumpy “bone yard,” and huge pools of standing mud–and even creepy crumbling old mill buildings to complete the ambiance–this is pretty much the place on earth you’d want to turn yourself loose with a 280 hp Subaru. Speaking of those…

Transformers 3 Spied in Detroit

By Katherine Helmetag

If you want to film a disaster zone, where better than Detroit, right? Especially if you want to include some props out of the GM Design Studio! MichiganVW.org member detvw grabbed these shots of the set, props, and Optimus Prime while driving home from work the other day. Heckuva commute, eh? Plenty more after the jump!

The Previa

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

Could this be the Toyota Previa to rule them all? It certainly looks like no other out there. The two-tone paintjob and the Leon Hardiritt wheels really make this car standout. The wheels are 19″ and sit perfectly on a Silk Road Airbag system.

Hyundai Parking In-Fusion

By Matt Wellumson

Neuwerks

These shots were taken by a co-worker during what would normally be a quiet Saturday at the office. The story behind it was, the young driver was involved in a heated text conversation, while parking her car in the open space in the foreground. What doesn’t make sense, is the fact that her car drove over the curb, through a fence, and onto someone’s new Ford Fusion. Thankfully nobody was hurt, and hopefully she puts down her phone next time she parks!

More photos after the jump!

Nissan 350z Hoonage

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

Drifting is loud, smelly, creates a load of smoke, and to top things off it etches your semi-permanent autograph into the streets! Probably best to do it on a closed course next time… Read more about the 350z hoonage at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

Journey to Detroit, Day Three: Woodward Dream Cruise

By Stephanie Porteus

HotRodHoney

The day of the Woodward Dream Cruise was upon us, and even though it was raining we hit the touchless car wash to spuce up the Bu-hog before heading for Lake St. Claire to grab some breakfast. From there, we’d cruise up along the lake toward Pontiac. Hit the jump to read all about our day at the Dream Cruise!
