I like the angle and the slightly raw surroundings. And have there been some hot Eclipses on the site lately or what? Check out Murf’s ride page for more.

A Once-Fabulous Hudson Hornet
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
I remember one time walking into a junkyard in New York and seeing two of these old Hornets–recently arrived, but almost totally stripped, sitting side by side near the entrance. Multiples of cars like this is always a sad sight at the boneyard–because you just know that it was probably some old guy or gal hanging onto those hulks, who finally kicked the bucket only to have their ingrate relatives send their cars off to the scrapper. I’m hoping a more gentle fate awaits this very complete Hudson Hornet, and judging from the bidding, it looks like it’ll probably end up with a good home. Check out the auction on eBay.

Exceptionally Awesome Sleeper Nova on eBay
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
We love finding cool sleepers either for sale, or just looking good on the streets, waiting to swallow an unsuspecting victim. The granny blue 1969 Nova we found on eBay looks like something an elderly woman idled to church each week, but it actually sports a 540ci Dart big block Chevy, dressed with factory valve covers no less, that makes 725 pump gas horses.
The car has only lived with two owners and the first on had it repainted in 1984. From the photos we see on the ad, the paint has held up great over the last 26 years!
The interior is another place where the sleeper sales job is taken to perfection. Looking 100% stock, aside from some additional gauges hanging under the dash, this monster even sports the column shifter, which must make operating the full-manual valve bodied Turbo 400 fun.
This car was built by a professional shop and the quality of their work shows through and through. From the stealthy widened rear wheel wells, to the unassuming stance (aside from those pesky Cal Tracs poking out) the shop nailed it and we want to feel what 725hp feels like shoving us into that bench seat!
Even if you are a Ford guy, respect for this Nova is mandatory!

Ford Focus ST at The Paris Motor Show
By Jen Dunnaway

Rocketboom just posted this video, which shows some nice close-up and interior shots of the 2011 hot Focus. I think the color-matched contrast stitching and seat panels are a little cheesy–maybe this look has been so overdone by the Pep Boys dressup crowd that it can’t not make me think about 20-dollar seat covers–but overall, it’s a tight looking machine. See for yourself!
The Queen ST BMW Drag Car
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
When it comes to cars that divide opinions, I think you’ll be hard pressed to top this. Say hello to Queen St’s latest creation: a BMW M3 powered by a Mazda four rotor engine. A wicked creation that is half drag car and half show car. And yes, you’re eyes aren’t deceiving you; that really is a gold-plated motor. Continue reading at Speedhunters

Custom Gauge Pods and Plastic Restoration, Part 1
By David Belau
dartslantsix
I’ve talked a lot about eventually turbocharging the Slant Six in my 1966 Dodge Dart. There are a lot of steps I need to take in order to make that happen. One of them is installing the necessary gauges. There’s scant acreage on a ’66 Dart’s dash, so I had to find a place to put them. I’ve always liked the windshield pillar gauge pods, but no one makes them for a Dart. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to make my own. Follow along as I modify the windshield pillar trim and restore it to better than new.

Goodbye Winter, Hello Car Show Season!
Tcassa
Just as show season is winding down in the northern hemisphere, winter has reached its end here in Australia things and the car show schedule is getting back into full swing. Believe me, it couldn’t come any sooner! This particular show here in Melbourne was small, but the quality of rods and customs on show was sensational. It’s a great indication of what’s to come as car show season revs up, and I always enjoy checking out the smaller local events as you often get to see cars that don’t usually attend the more large-scale shows. Follow the jump for more pics!

Sending text messages while driving is incredibly dangerous, but sending them at 160 mph during a WOT pull is borderline insanity. Thanks to the stability of the C6 Corvette Z06 no one was hurt, but it could have turned ugly in a split second. Think before you text, especially at 160 miles per hour!
