Meet Me in Monterey
By David
GRM Editorial Director
There are a ton of sports car events on the calendar, but few of them even come close to Monterey. It’s nearly everything–from one of the most prestigious vintage races on the planet to top-tier car shows where you’ll see stuff you didn’t know even existed. It’s also a who’s who, as everyone who is anyone in the car business can be found there.
There’s also plenty of stuff for us poor folks to enjoy. I’m leaving for Monterey this Thursday, and my schedule isn’t all caviar and wine tastings. On Thursday I’ll be at the Baja Cantina in Carmel for a little socializing and checking out cars. Admission: free. Just show up with a cool car, mosey up to the bar, and enjoy an evening with like-minded gearheads. I’ll try to post an update while I’m out there.

Well if you’re in the area this weekend, stop on by. I’ll also be at the Historics, Quail, Concorso Italiano and some of the auctions. Yes, it will be a busy weekend.

Thanks David - it’s always nice to get your notes from the road. I’m sure more than a few of us wish we could be out there too!
