Library of Congress Selects Bullitt For National Film Registry

The Library of Congress just selected Bullitt for the national film registry. Films chosen for the registry are considered "culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant. More in the International Herald Tribune.

Great photo of the 2 cars doing battle. The sound of that Mustang was fantastic. Good to see such a movie going into the registry

Im just a 14 year old kid but Bullitt is my favorite movie! Gotta love that Stang!

Looks like the "King of Cool" is regaining his popularity. Walk up to any teenage kid today and they'll say "Steve who???", but with the "Field of Dreams" Mustang commercial Ford did about 2 yrs ago, and the reincarnation of the Bullitt 'Stang (both in '01 and next year), and now this, there's been no better time for McQueen. No doubt, there will be more people renting this movie and watching it.
