Happy New Year!
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
I’m predicting 2008 is gonna be a great year for gearheads. Why? Cause a ton of cool cars will be hitting dealer lots. Here’s my list of the ten hottest cars for 2008 (and this is our last year-end top ten list, I promise).
2. Dodge Challenger. Though I still have to see it in person.
3. Tesla Roadster. Ignore the doubters and the haters.
4. Mustang Bullitt. Worth it just for the Dark Highland Green.
5. Corvette ZR1. The Veyron is silly–this is a real supercar.
6. Impreza WRX STI. Sure, it won’t win any beauty contests, but it’s better than ever.
7. Mitsubishi EVO. Might not please the purists, but this is a much improved car.
8. BMW 1-Series. Long live the 2002.
9. Chevy Malibu. Does Detroit finally have a Camry beater?
10. Pontiac G8. V8, RWD, good looks and under $30k–what else do you want?

Why did you guys leave out the new euro rides that are hitting the showrooms this year. For instance the JAGUAR XF, or the BMW X6. Both Are gonna come as evo killers right off the bat. The jag has a supercharged package that kills M5’s. The BMW X6 also will Come turbo, so you should try to cover more on these ride’s cause if you see them, your attention wont be on The evo’s or STI’s anymore.

The Shelby GT500KR comes out this year too. I can’t hardly wait to see one in person. And unless the Challenger’s HEMI is set for more than 540 horse, it’ll be the most powerful factory ponycar to date. I can feel both these cars in the burnout box already…

I don’t like any. At the rate I am going.. I will emerge from the wilderness with a car that truly survived with a beard and hair down to my knees just to tell this whole retarded pansy ass automotive self righteous greed world killing, car killing, people killing, MAN killoing, existing for the 5 billionares at the top off again and pretend I am crazy. Although maybe becoming a truckdriver in finalnd for the 16 liter v8 scania is worth a haircut.,..nah. I love the usa.I didn’t end up a homeless veteran for nothing

Bummer, there’s three expensive cars on the list that I absolutely must have!
Need to get a winning lottery ticket, or find oil on my property, or marry an heiress, or…

GREAT!… I may be enjoying one or more of these cool cars hitting the dealerships in about 5 to 10 years.

You forgot the Saab “Turbo-x”
:wink
Should be a nice little car, although I think saab should have done a tuned up 4cyl instead of that silly V6!
Im glad that the GT-R is topping the list.
