600 Chrysler LXs Invade California

Automotive Traveler
California proved that tuner cars need not always be imports when the Southern California LX Forum hosted their third annual Spring Fling. I posted a story over on Automotive Traveler about the meet, which was attended by more than 600 Chrysler LXs (Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum and Charger), and where Dodge execs from Auburn Hills premiered the first production-spec 2008 Challenger while blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepard took the wraps off of his latest Mopar, a bitchin' pro-street '72 Charger powered by a new-gen 6.1-liter SRT8 Hemi V8. Read all about it here.

Guys, it was an LX-only event. I even had a hard time getting on the grounds in a press fleet '08 Dodge Journey; had to park it behind one of the transporters! But next year they will be welcoming owners of the '08/09 Challengers.
I have to agree with Rob, the blue V6 Challenger in NY was a showstopper...very cool color. Mine still will be white. Look here on cardomain.com in about a month for more details.

I'm with ya Tony. I wonder if it was LXs only or if they'd welcome my older K-car Spirits. My Spirit R/Ts too layed up to go, but if it could, I bet it'd fit in with all those Charger R/Ts in that pic.
