One Lap of America: The Veterans
By Jen Dunnaway

Michael Hickman's '81 Camaro has completed One Lap a total of eighteen times, and has a sticker on the driver's door for each of the years it's participated. The '46 Plymouth on the right was a barn find--owner Glen Dodd simply clear-coated over the rust and the dents so that the required stickers would stick. It's got a supercharged small-block and just as many One Lap stickers, though they indicate the number of times that the driver, not the Plymouth, has run One Lap (this is the car''s first year). The main problem it's been having is fogging up in the rain, so last night Glen bored a bunch of holes through the panels to improve circulation. Ouch. Click below the jump for pics of both of these burly survivors out on the track at Texas and Louisiana.

I am surprized a veteran would not be aware of Rain-X and Fog-X. I have used them both in endurance racing for years in some of the most extream conditions you can imagine and they work perfectly if preped right.
