Since Ryan got his smart, folks around the office been joking about throwing on a big brake kit so he could do stoppies. But while we were all laughing about the idea, I had no idea people have actually pulled this off. Is this completely insane or what?

Haha. That's awesome. I've seen videos of those Smart cars before. It either has a Gixxer or Hayabusa motor in it.

Definitely one of the coolest if not the only cool thing about a smart car :P. Gimme one of them, a year supply of Rye or Beer and a Hayabusa motor ;) I could make my own video series Dumb-Guys/Smart-Cars lol.

Just to clear it up look in the background of the video, you see those buildings on the hill?? I know it's fuzzy as all he// but it doesn't appear as they are North American architecture, as well as the crowd in the background from what little you can hear of them over that miniature devil rocket on wheels (which i think is COOL AS HE//) doesn't seem to be speaking english so... with out coming off as a racist or anything I just thought I would point out some helpful visual details.

so GT wildfire, because they drift and open their doors, its in Dubai, or the middle east? so no other country in the world has people doing the same things? nobody else knows how to do the side to side drift? no body else does stuff like open their doors? why dont you go look at some other drifting vids online? you'll see that *gasp* some of them are elsewhere in this world!

I recognize that side to side drift insanity anywhere... had to be shot in the middle east, maybe Dubai. Didn't have the audio on so I had no audible clues. The doors-open thing is also a dead giveaway, except nobody was hanging out of the open door while ululating, least not this time.

I thought the rear was gonna drop like a stone, but it was a surprisingly smooth drop.

It was an awesome vid and the smart cars turned out to be a lot more than just little urban shoeboxes... at least the tuned ones.

it takes a very good brake, and hot large tires to do that... also a modded engine to achieve high speed quickly... maybe some F&F weight @ the front.
