Over the past week I’ve been selling a bunch of items here and there to try and make a little loot. One such item is my old BMW M5. You see, it was getting up there in age, performance was still everything it ever was, but since I just started my business MR. ANGRY INC. and needed the capital, it had to go. I checked all the other prices on used M5’s on the net and then low-balled all of them by three grand. By doing this I sold in the car in about 40 minutes. A gentleman called, we struck a deal and POOF!! M5 is sold.

Now this is where is gets interesting. You see, after I posted that it was sold, I began receiving multiple emails from other M5 owners telling me how I was doing "them" a disservice by selling my car under the normal value, and that by doing this I was actually dropping the values of their cars... WTF? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

These are e-mails from people I don’t know, and yet they feel the need to tell me how the sale of my car affects them--simply amazing. I sell my car, take the hit and the rest of the jackass peanut gallery out there decides I’m to blame for decline in prices of an eight year old German muscle car.

Ladies and gentleman, you frickin’ kill me. Now go out and there, do something productive and stop wasting my time with your BS comments. Schmucks...

Why am i not surprised!??....Mike don`t even worry about the negative comments!...it`s your car and if you`d sell it 10grand under book value it`s your problem...YOU NEEDED THE BUCKS!!!i`ve learned that once you`ve sold your car everyone all of a sudden wanted to buy it!.....i sold many cars UNDER book value,simply because i wanted to get rid of them and battled to do so!...many people out there wait till you get fed up and KNOWS that eventually you gonna sell it for less anyway!.....For the record i think BMW`s are nice,but so is any car that looks good...no matter what make!

Good job Mr. Angry!!! I'm a E39 owner (not an M5)and let me tell you that this will be the last time I'll buy a BMW. For the simple fact that nickle and dime is in the vocabulary when it comes down to having the car after 60k. I'll rethink my purchase next time. Thanks

What's it matter to them anyway? I mean if anything, you should be the one crying. Seeing how you just got rid of your BMW for less than what it's worth. Damn, we've got some interesting comments on this subject. First off, let me just say that BMW owners get a bad wrap. They are not douche bags, arrogant asses or pricks - I mean some of them are, but that can be said for those who drive Benz's, Evo's and Porsche's just the same.

As for the M5 itself, it really was a great car and when you think about it, it was 7 years old with 91,+++ and could still crush 95% of the road going automobiles out there, well... that's just impressive.

HOWEVER! and I am going to stress this to everyone, I do not think I would ever buy another used German car that is out of warranty. They are good cars up until about 60k, after that they simply nickel and dime you and that just gets annoying.

As for the guy who posted on - "Aug 29, 2008 8:10:12 PM". Here we have the obvious keyboard commando... one who posts, bitches, but then leaves no clue to their identity and is thus another fine example of someone who should just - STFU.

WOW, what a bunch of pansies, how can they think that one person selling an E39 M5 for 3k less than book is really going to effect their car that much. I mean come on, I like bimmers just as much as the next guy, but they're extremely over priced here in the states anyways. That car would probably sell for half what Mike sold it for in most other countries anyways. Just because it's at US DOT standards doesn't mean it should be worth double what your average German citizen would pay for it. These people need to wake up, smell the coffee, realize that their shit does stink, and stop crying over spilled milk. I don't understand how they even have any room to cry about 3k anyways, if they're driving that kind of car, they probably have the means on hand to drop 3k on a Dynan upgrade for it in the first place.

man its not that BMW has bin gettin dissed its just that they are over priced cars i mean common and M3 is the same thing as a 3 series its just the body kit and engine and they over charge u like 15 to 20 Gs, with that price make ur 3 series coupe a better M3 and the M5 too! common put 15 GS on a regular engine 4 door car and there.... sorry BMW gots too say the truth, i love ur cars but too pricy 4 my eyes

Selling the M5 was good thinking. It's a nice car but with higher miles the maintenance expense and hassles become a freaking boat anchor if you drive it regularly.
