As Jen mentioned we shot a bunch of video at NorthWest Auto Salon last week. One of the cars we used in the video was this amazing ’66 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, which was chopped and suicided by River City Helicopters in Post Falls, Idaho. More pics after the jump!

’66 Plymouth Pro Touring Concept
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Mike Musto sent me the link to this awesome ’66 Plymouth pro touring concept created by Reuben Zammit. I’ve been toying with ideas for my ’66 Satellite, and was thinking of going the pro touring route, especially after seeing the Ring Brothers Fairlane at SEMA last year. Either that or something slightly more NASCAR. Or should I go more Sox and Martin? Of course, I’m sorely lacking in money and time, but if anyone wants to sponsor a build, lemme know…

King of the Trars: 850hp 1966 Galaxie Mud Bogger
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
Well, this one should put people in two distinct camps. You’ll either love it or absolutely hate it. “It” is a 1966 Ford Galaxie sporting an 850hp big-block Chevy motor, huge axles, massive tractor tires, and an appetite for mud pits.
It is a capable 4×4 with respect to mud bogging, but without any real axle articulation, a center of gravity about four feet higher than the Eiffel tower, and a throttle that appears to be more on-off switch than control pedal, it is a specialized machine.
We’ll go on record as loving it. Go ahead and fling mud at us!
It takes a minute or two to get to the Galaxie, but this mother is worth a look.

Racecraft and the 1966 BMW 2000CS
Antonio Alvendia
Remember the sexy silver machine from last week’s post about Seattle vintage race car builders Racecraft? The 1966 BMW 2000CS served as the design inspiration for some of the most gorgeous BMWs ever to roam the Autobahn, dazzling enough to warrant closer inspection on MotorMavens. Roadside Find: Real 1966 Corvette 4×4 Trar
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
On a recent trip back to Texas, the parental units pointed out this well done 1966 Corvette 4×4 conversion. More often called a trar (truck/car), this particular homogenization is still more 1966 Corvette than not. While trars are usually made by placing some unsuspecting car on top of a Chevy Blazer or Ford Bronco chassis, this Corvette is so such beast. Starting with a real 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, the running gear, which includes 1-ton axles, was mounted to the stock Corvette chassis. This is southern engineering at its finest.
