Rice or Nice? Custom 1975 Corvette
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
This Corvette walks the line between unique and odd. The most noticeable features of this car are the static light conversion to the front end, and the red hot flames against the bright yellow paint job. But maybe that’s a face that only a mother could love. What do you think, is this rice or nice? Read more at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

Hemmings Find of the Day – 1975 Chrysler
By Dan Strohl
Hemmings
Okay, so I’m a sucker for a station wagon, especially one with that wonderful faux wood siding that always seemed to age faster than the rest of the car. Of course, nothing screams Seventies quite like Avocado Gold Metallic (or all 27 variations of brown), which is exactly what’s slathered on this 1975 Chrysler Town & Country with an asking price of $13,950. From the seller’s description:
1975 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country 9 Passenger Wagon – 84,000 One Owner miles on this very well cared for mid 70’s Full Size Luxury Wagon! 440 TNT Motor – Factory A/C – 50/50 front seat (LH power) – Power Tailgate, Window & Lock – Avocado Gold Metallic in color with Black vinyl interior – No Rust Here!!

Ryan is in the middle of a pretty ambitious restomod project on his ’75 Corolla. It recently got fresh Jaguar British Racing Green paint, and now he mostly just has to put it all back together. Be sure to check out his ride page!

Legal Street Racing Circa 1975

This was posted recently by FlyByNight over at OntairoStreetCar.com.
1975 on a section of old highway between Osoyoos and Keremeos BC. A bunch of guys got together and made arrangements with local authorities to close it off a few times that summer for drag racing. Word got around and it was pretty well attended. Cars from the southern interior of BC, and a few Okanagan County, Washington cars ran there. No timing equipment at first, but a good time was had by all. I did relief flag starting duties, but mostly took photos. I did run my 4 spd W31 there for the one time it was open in 1976. It shut down after it was determined that the insurance that they had wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. The local RCMP constable fully supported this as well. You’ll see his police car in the background of a couple of the photos. (454 Biscayne ) Of course there was an ambulance and tow truck there too.
That green Road Runner looks tough! More pics after the jump!

Gatorade Donk For Sale
By Rob Einaudi

So you want a Donk but are too lazy to build it yourself. Or you want to get a cool convertible in time for summer. Or maybe you just love Gatorade. Well, this might just be the car for you. Go to Denver’s 1975 Chevy Caprice ride page for contact info (there’s no price listed). It’s also supposed to be listed over at DreamRydez.com but I couldn’t find it. Oh, and I dropped in a few more pics after the jump.

Craigslist Find: 1975 Maserati Merak
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
If you love Italian cars, live in the North East, have some garage space and a spare $5,000, I’ve got a great car for you. Yeah, it doesn’t run, parts will be scarce, and it’s got a bunch of oddball Citron stuff, but still–think how cool it would be to have a red Maserati parked in your garage. No one expects these to run anyway, and it would be nice to be able to go out and stare at those beautiful Giugiaro lines from time to time.
If you’re interested in learning more about the Merak, I found a nice little writeup here.

Here’s an awesome Craigslist find. I was just talking about these last week. Dang, a one owner ’75 Cherokee with 68k miles and all documentation. Something tells me this one won’t last long…
