2010 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Pics Live!

By Rob Einaudi

Honestly, I was never all that interested in the Pebble Beach show. Just seemed like it would be a lot of wine and cheese. But then I had the opportunity to go on Sunday, and all I can say is this: every gearhead needs to attend this event at least once. It costs a whopping $150 to get in (I guess they want to keep the riff raff out–press pass FTW) but it’s still worth it to see all those Ferraris, Alfas and Bugattis sitting on the green, just a few feet from beautiful Carmel Bay. Anyway, I took around 200 pics, which you can see in our events section. And I posted a bunch of videos on StreetFire. Check ‘em out!

You weren’t expecting Dusters and Road Runners, were you? Check out the 1954 Dodge Firearrow II, the 1955 Ghia Streamline X Gilda (built at the request of Chrysler executive Virgil Exner), the 1954 DeSoto Adventurer II Ghia Coupe and the 1954 Dodge Firearrow III Ghia Coupe (the silver car in the middle is a 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic Ghia Coupe). You can see the rest of the videos I shot yesterday at Pebble Beach at StreetFire.net. And I should have event pics up soon!

Taser Used At Scraping The Coast 2010

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

Don’t tase me bro! A third gen Camaro owner was cited for a burnout and pushed the officer just a little too far. Doing a burnout yet again after being pulled over according to the YouTube witness, this dude was straight up asking for trouble. He then ignores the officer, gets out of the car, and gets a fat fingered shocker right on the asphalt. Was the taser appropriate for this situation? Comment below and read more at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

The Hot Rod Power Tour 2010 is Less Than a Week Away

By Ryan Brutt

Well there is less than one week until Power Tour 2010. I spent today cleaning up the interior of the Challenger, conditioning the leather, vacuuming the carpets, etc. I also added the hood stripe and the extension side stripes on the Challenger. That should make it a little different then the other 99% of Challengers on the Tour. I also picked up a new Atlas as my last one got ruined. I hate GPS. Check out the Hot Rod Power Tour directions.

Also to get the most up to date information on the Tour, please follow them on their twitter site. And Chip Foose will be at the first stop in Newton, IA. I’m a big personal fan and can not wait to see him in person, even if I do just get his autograph.

I came up with a little idea, I’m going to have a balloon attached to my car. Something easy to see and noticeable. I don’t know what it will be, but when I find it I will post it up here and let you know.

Ward’s Surprising 2010 Interior of the Year Awards

By Chris Bicknell

For years now, Chevrolet has been known for producing vehicle interiors with substandard materials and an overall lack of attention to detail. The fit, finish and quality of even enthusiast cars such as the 4th gen Camaro and the C5 Corvette felt cheap and didn’t match the performance, quality or aesthetic appeal of the vehicle as a whole. This has baffled me since as drivers, don’t we tend to spend most of our time looking at the inside of our cars? That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to find not one, but two Chevrolet models on the list of Ward’s top 10 interiors of 2010. Amazingly enough, the Camaro and Equinox share this list with name plates such as the Porsche Panamera, BMW Gran Turismo and Infiniti M56. Although I don’t really agree with all the cars chosen or the way they’ve been classed, it’s nice to see think that GM might be making some moves in the right direction. Follow the jump for the complete list with categories and pictures.

What new 2010 interior would make your top ten list?
