The Green Goblin's New Wheels?

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

At first glance, it looks like a Dodge Magnum with a Chrysler 300 clip grafted on. But in the European and Japanese markets, the 300C is available in the "Touring" body style, which makes for one hot wagon! CarDomain member Daisuke has listed his as a Magnum, and it’s loaded up with insane aftermarket touches. Just think, if the American public wasn’t so wagon-averse, we’d have longroof 300C’s to play with, too!

600 Chrysler LXs Invade California

By Rich

Automotive Traveler

California proved that tuner cars need not always be imports when the Southern California LX Forum hosted their third annual Spring Fling. I posted a story over on Automotive Traveler about the meet, which was attended by more than 600 Chrysler LXs (Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum and Charger), and where Dodge execs from Auburn Hills premiered the first production-spec 2008 Challenger while blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepard took the wraps off of his latest Mopar, a bitchin’ pro-street ’72 Charger powered by a new-gen 6.1-liter SRT8 Hemi V8. Read all about it here.

Another Triumph: Pakisalim's Latest Video

By John

Editor

When most CarDomain members shoot a video of their car, they go out with a camera, maybe a friend or two, and film. Sometimes there’s a little post production—title cards, etc—but that’s pretty much as far as most go, and that’s great. Pakisalim, on the other hand, goes much, much farther. His last video blew us out of the water—and earned him a Go-Pro camera—and with this latest clip, he’s done it again. Apparently, this was done to show off his new Lambo doors, but it’s more short film than demonstration. What do you think is in the case?

This Just In: New on the Net

By John

Editor

It’s not always easy to tell whether someone is right for you. But if you’re attempting to flee a dispute, and your partner clings to the roof of your vehicle and punches you through the window, it’s best to assume you aren’t going to make beautiful music together. Over the weekend, this awful situation actually played out between William Kremer and Stacey Sperrazza, and culminated when Sperrazza hit Kremer with the car. Unfortunately, Kremer received only minor injuries. Stacey, please DTMFA. Here’s the news:

  • Ford has been mum about the whole thing, but it looks like it’s official: Tata is going to buy Jaguar and Land Rover. Expect an announcement in early March—but don’t expect the new XF to sell for 2000 bucks. Automotive News
  • Early this morning, there was an explosion at the Porsche factory in Stuttgard. Two workers we injured, but both have been treated and released. Production of the 911 is expected to be suspended for two to three days. Detroit News
  • Ma Mopar had a real hit on their hands with the 300C, and now it looks like they’re aiming for the same success on across the pond. A diesel version has just been announced for customers in the UK. CarScoop
  • Fewer kids are getting their drivers license at 16. It’s official: there’s just something really wrong with kids today. New York Times

Showoff of the Week: Salim's Dope 300C!

By John

Editor

In my opinion, rolling a pimp-ass Mopar over in Sweden makes you pretty big showoff. There are a ton of great pics of this slick machine on Salim’s page, but the killer video he made is really where it’s at. If you haven’t seen it, you have to check it out. Congrats man!

Race-Prepped 300C SRT8 Makes Me Drool

By Sean

Editor

The guys over at MotorPasion just stumbled across this race-prepped wide-body Chrysler 300C SRT8, and I think it’s the first customized 300C I’ve seen which doesn’t look like it belongs in DUB Magazine! The article is in Spanish, but I was able to figure out that the car has been prepped by Germany’s ZAKSPEED, weighs in at just under 3100lbs, and has a 6.1L V8 pushing about 600hp. It’s been built to compete in the Italian-based SuperStars class, an FIA-approved championship series. Basically, it’s similar to GT racing, with BMWs, Audis, and Jaguars making up the bulk of the field. ZAKSPEED has over 35 years experience participating in everything from the DTM series to the 24 Hours at Nurburging, and I’m certain their latest project will be will be one to watch. You can read the press release here.

That’s right, wheels with full motion video. How crazy is that? Check out the video we took and then go to the LED Wheels website to learn about their mission to "develop a profitable new medium for communications, marketing, expression and security while providing automobile owners with an opportunity to profit from driving their vehicle." What’s not to love?

Show Off of the Week: PappaD's Suicide 300C

By John

Community Editor

Straight out of the box, the 300C is a sharp looking ride, and people love to mod it. But not many people do it as well as PappaD. Every single tweak that’s been made to this machine has made it look sleeker, meaner and more elegant. The perfect execution of the suicide doors just completes the package! Congrats PappaD, wicked ride!
