Japanese 370Z Build Part 2

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

The owner of this car is fairly crazy for high end modifications. Here you can see he installed the Ab Flug rear bumper along with the Mines carbon fiber wing cover. Although I’ve done my best to try to hide the scissor door conversion (which I don’t happen to like), you can see a peek of it in the above photo. Above you can see another nice wheel choice, this time TE37s in a gloss black which fit the car’s theme and makes the blue brakes pop nicely. I really also love the Amuse exhaust poking out in the above picture with the blued/gold ring tips. Classic. More pics after the jump. And you can read Part 1 here.

Japanese 370Z Build Part 1

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

This is one of my favorite aftermarket 370Z’s from Japan. This car is pure quality everywhere you look. If you notice closely you’ll see not only the blue accent ring around the BBS wheels but the fact that the faces of the wheels were modified in carbon fiber. Behind that you’ll see a really impressive brake conversion and refinishing that matches the blue accent theme. The side skirt features a one-off duct which I think looks really great on the car! The carbon fiber Varis hood is an already classic product and goes nicely with the custom carbon fiber headlights with ccfl rings. By the way we’ve also been producing custom modified headlights like this lately, so if anyone is looking for custom work like this just let me know and we can get it done.

Aggressive Aero Design Looks Like This in 2010

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

This is what the Veilside Supra combat style kits of the mid 1990s have grown up to become. Although my style preference has turned somewhat away from ultra aggressive aero design in recent years I still really enjoy looking at this car. Ab Flug’s Vanguard Z34 370Z manages to somehow reconcile the difference between between hardcore racer and mature design. Most importantly however from my point of view: the design is unique and represents yet another original Japanese vehicle design.

370Ztune.com Sponsored 1000hp 370Z Build

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

We’ve been involved in this crazy 370Z build and I’m excited to leak some behind the scenes visuals on the car. Here is a video shot today after the completion of the Zele aero kit installation. I’d like to thank my friends at Zele for their support with this project.

The car features a GTM 1000hp 4.5L motor with dual GT35R turbos. We’re helping out with the build and hoping to finish up the car soon for some media features. Congrats to the owner Mike from Georgia for the great ride!

I love it when people do stuff with reflection in their pics, and of course it works out especially well on a black car. See more of Rudy’s 370Z on his ride page!

Twin Turbo 370Z

We love the GT-R, but its sibling the 370z can definitely handle its own, especially when it’s producing 450HP!

My New Favorite Color: Invisible

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

This video is incredible, this has to be the first time I’ve ever seen an invisible car that runs. Really impressive stuff right here. Check out this invisible Nissan 370Z. Thanks goes to my friend Justin who put me on to this.

The Tamon Design 370Z

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

Today I was talking with a client who asked me what I felt about the Tamon Design RC370Z which debuted just recently in Tokyo. Not only was I happy to answer his question, but I was glad because it reminded me that I’ve wanted to blog about this car for the past couple of weeks now.

On January 5th I put up a sketch here by Tamon Design which showed the concept of the car in early form. At the time I was extremely excited by the very unique image on the sketch and I was prepared to be blown away by a very controversially designed and aggressive car whenever it did materialize in the flesh.

Nissan 370Z STILLEN Wing Sneak Peak

By admin

admin

While filming with the guys from Stillen the other day, they let us get a look at the upcoming Stillen wing for the 370Z. This is a prototype, but it looks great. Like all of their body components, the wing is made from durable, OEM-like urethane, fits perfectly with no drilling and will be delivered ready for paint. Watch the video here.

Look for the Adam Carolla CarCast episode featuring Steve Millen from Stillen on Saturday October 31, 2009. Steve brought some very cool cars with him and we fire them up!
