Photo of the Day

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

Today’s photo comes from Scott’s ride page for his 4Runner. I love it when a vehicle is just burly enough to get a bit articulated, but not so jacked that it’s no longer practical as a driver. Plus, awesome sky! If you come across a pic you’d like to see featured in Photo of the Day, don’t hesitate to drop me a line.

Toyota 4Runner vs. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited: Which Would You Choose?

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

This is something of a rematch. I pitted the FJ vs. the Wrangler back in February and the Wrangler killed the FJ. But I think a bunch of Jeep forums got involved in that one. This time we’re going a bit more upscale, and we’re looking at four doors. Both of these are priced just under $31k (we’re comparing the 4WD 4.0L V6 SR5 to the Wrangler Rubicon 4-door 4×4). The Toyota’s 4.0 liter V6 has 236 hp and 266 ft-lb of torque, while the Jeep’s 3.8 liter V6 has 202 hp and 237 ft-lb of torque. You can get the Jeep with either a 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic, while the Toyota is only available with a 5-speed auto. Which would you choose?
