From Junkyard to Car Show in Less Than 60 Days

By Rob Einaudi

If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, you may remember Tim from a series of posts we did on the 7,600 mile road trip he took in his ’69 Road Runner back in the summer of 2007. Well, Tim is still tinkering with his Runner, but he came across a ’61 Olds that he couldn’t pass up. Read the full story of how he bought the car and took it to its first show in less than two months. It’s proof that you don’t have to have a ton of money to have fun with old cars.

Showoff of the Week: Cody's Olds 88!

By John Coyle

This is exactly the kind of story that makes the grease-stained hearts at CarDomain go pitter-patter. Just listen to Cody talk about this piece of American iron:

this is my baby. it is the first car I ever owned, and paid 900.00 for it when I was 16. now 21, I will wouldn’t give this car up for anything. this car was found stored in a potato cellar where it had resided for 15 years. because it was underground the paint mostly survived, as this is still the original paint. on the downside, rats got to the inside so it was shot. it still started right up with the original 394 rumbling from deteriorated pipes.

Cody? You had us at "this is my baby." Congrats and good luck!
