Is it just cause I picked a blue Ferrari, or are there a ton of Alfitsi on CarDomain? Did Ferrari perhaps make a slight goof with the new California? Or is the Alfa just way batter looking? Whatever the reason(s), the Alfa Romeo 8C absolutely murdered the Ferrari California in our latest Showroom Showdown. Truly, no contest.

Two of the hottest new Italian cars coming to North America in the next year or so are the Alfa Romeo 8C and the Ferrari California. Both are front engine V8s with 450 and 460 hp respectively. Both will set you back over $200k The Ferrari comes only as a retractable hardtop, while the 8C will be available as either a coupe or spider. Which would you choose?

At the Geneva Motor Show, you can’t throw a rock without hitting some excruciatingly expensive exotic, so if you go, don’t throw rocks. Right now, our buddies from Road & Track are across the pond covering it, and from the looks of these photos, they’re having a blast. They sent us sick shots of all the hottest stuff on the floor—like the KTM X-Bow Dallara Edition pictured below—and they’re making editorial wish we weren’t stuck at CarDomain World Headquarters. Alfa released photos of the 8C Spider, which they will show off at the Geneva Motor Show next month. They are only going to make 500 of these beauties, and expect them to cost even more than the 8C Coupe (which should list for somewhere in the neighborhood of $240,000). And no word if they will ship any over here. Cool car, but I’m still waiting for word on a more affordable Alfa Spider. More pics at Left Lane News.
