By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Most of these vehicles should never have disappeared in the first place, but all of them need to come back. Now. Let me know what you think of my list. What did I miss?
Ford Bronco
I really don’t know what Ford is waiting for. Seems like a no brainer to me.
See the rest after the jump!

Cheap Porsches
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Ryan and I were just talking about the rumor that Porsche might be working on a successor to the Porsche 928. Which led me to this hilarious Top Gear episode. I still really like and miss the front engine Porsches from the 70s and 80s. And yes, you can get them cheap…

Blown 454 Porsche 928 on eBay
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Still looking for the perfect Christmas gift for that special someone? Then how about this blown 454 Porsche 928 on eBay? It’s “well built” but it’s never been to the drag strip because the owner is “too scared to test it.” I’m sure it will give the Porsche Purist nightmares, but I think it’s kind of cool. I don’t get how that kind of power will work with the original Porsche tranny, though…

Turbine-Powered 928 on eBay
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Here’s a cool eBay find: a turbine-powered Porsche 928. That’s right, power comes from a Boeing 502-6 turboshaft gas turbine jet engine (you can read more about these engines here). According to the seller it runs on gas, diesel, Jet-A, JP-4, JP and old drain oil, manages 16 mpg and has a top speed of 125 mph. It also "starts right up" and "runs real smooth," but then the seller is one of those guys who types in all caps and insults people who asks questions–so buyer beware. eBay via Autoblog.

Tiburon Power!
By John Coyle

While this commercial is entertaining to watch, I have to say the idea that a 1996 Tiburon is going to outrun a couple of Porschesthe 911 and 928and a Cobra rep is pretty far-fetched. But hey it’s fantasy, right?

Ulitmate Hauler: El Porschamino!
By Sean

OK, so I may have got ahead of myself in a previous blog post when I said that this converted Audi TT pick-up was the "Ultimate Sport Ute". I think it just got trumped by the Porsche 928 featured in the video below. The car started out as a last generation 928GTS, before the owner extended it by about 70cm and added a third axle. In order to maintain the same performance as stock, the team bumped up the displacement from 5.4L to 6.1, taking the car from 350hp to 390hp.
However, in order to really enjoy the vehicle and make it legal to drive on German streets and highways, it had to achieve TUV approval. For those that aren’t aware, TUV approval is extremely difficult to achieve. It took two years to complete the build, but when they presented it for approval, the folks at TUV were stumped. Luckily for the owner, Porsche stepped in and sent a few engineers down to inspect the vehicle and with their approval TUV certification was granted. Click below to check out some video of this awesome and one-of-a-kind creation. And is it me, or does it sound like the video was narrated by renowned world traveler and PBS celebrity, Rick Steves?

Funny Porsche 928 Commercial
By John
Community Editor
This is a montage of commercials for the Porsche 928, and they’re all pretty cool. But my favorite one starts at about two minutes, with in-car footage of some high-speed twisties. If you’re oldlike I amyou might remember this line: "fire the chauffeur." Enjoy.
