If you made it to this year’s SEMA show, then you know there was no shortage of 2010 Chevy Camaros on display. From mild to wild, tuners have embraced the reborn muscle car with great passion. One Camaro in particular caught my attention with its design, performance and build quality. It was no surprise to find out this was the latest creation from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. Comedian, actor and host of CarCast, Adam Carolla, is set to unveil the most anticipated custom hot rod to debut at SEMA this year. “Afterburner” will be presented at a special event in the BASF booth on Tuesday November 3, 2009. “Afterburner” is the latest creation from the Ringbrothers, the only build team to win back-to-back Street Machine of the Year awards in the last fourteen years. Adam Carolla is a car guy. Sure, you may know him from The Adam Carolla Show, Comedy Central’s The Man Show, Loveline or his feature film, The Hammer, but what you may not know is Adam is a diehard car enthusiast with a great love for racing.
Adam Carolla has launched a new podcast series called CarCast. Carolla, with co-host Sandy “The Professor” Ganz, takes your calls, chats with celebrity guests and discusses just about everything cars that you can throw at them. Recent guests have included Jay Leno, Christopher Titus, Steve Saleen, Dax Shepard and more.
Carolla is great and rants in his typical, hilarious fashion about everything from front-wheel drive cars to automotive movie muffs.

What Will Adam Carolla Look Like as Host of Gear?

As a huge fan of Top Gear, I’m more than a little worried about the NBC’scalled Gearversion will suck. Since the hosts won’t be able to say anything negative about the cars
they reviewad dollars, remember?it makes sense that a lot of the fun of
the BBC program will be lost. And doesn’t the truncated title seem like an admission our version won’t be as good as the original? But even though I’m not the biggest fan of Adam Carollawho’s set to be one of the hostsI don’t think he looks half bad behind the wheel in this vodcast from SpeedTV. What do you think?
