Crazy! Like a Brian Fox!
By John
Community Editor

Personally, I think you have to be a little bit nuts to build a project car using a yet-to-be-released model. Just think about it! The aftermarket isn’t going to support a car which nobody’s gotten their hands on, and there’s absolutely no guarantee the manufacturer will deliver the goods on time. But fortunately, Brian Fox isn’t just a little bit nutshe’s completely insane! Rob met him at SEMA last year, and I can remember him saying something like, "Dude, when I met him, I thought, ‘this guy is psychotic,’ and I immediately wanted to work with him." Well, as it turns out, Crazy Like a Brian Foxas we’ve taken to calling him around the officeis nuts in all the right ways. He built this awesome 2008 Ford Focus in three weeksthen pounded to Vegas from Pennsylvania, and there isn’t a scratch on it. Bravo Brian, you came through in a big way! Thanks to you and everyone at Fox Marketing for delivering such a wicked ride. You are the man! For all the details on the build, watch the video below, where an uncensored Crazy Like a Brian Fox explains everythingat light speed. Hang on.
Here are some more photos of the Focus: photo 1, photo 2, photo 3.

CarDomain Booth!
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief

The CarDomain booth looks pretty hot this year, with two killer rides–our Scion xD and Focus coupe. Brian Fox drove the Focus all the way from Pennsylvania (covered with blue painter’s tape), and the Scion had to navigate the So Cal fires. We’ll take a closer look at both vehicles in the next few days. Here’s Brian backing the car into the booth last night.

Brian Fox’s crew got the turbo kit installed in the Focus this weekend. Today the car is off to Brian’s body man for a body kit and custom fender flares that will accommodate those 19×8.5 front/19×10 rear iForged wheels. This car will be in the CarDomain booth at SEMA in less than a month. Stay tuned!

Ford Focus Project Car

I met Brian Fox of Fox Marketing last year at SEMA and we decided we should do a project car together. So we’re building a 2008 Ford Focus Coupe, which will be in the CarDomain booth at SEMA this year, parked alongside our Scion xD. Brian just got the car from Ford this weekend, and he’s already ripping it apart. Below you can see Troy from Legacy Innovations putting in the back half roll cage. Brian also hatched a crazy plan for some metalwork to outline the dash and center console. You can see all this and more on the Focus ride page. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to SEMA!

S197
By Rob

Ford knocked it out of the park with the latest rendition of the Mustang. The S197 Stang has great looks and tons of power at a very reasonable price. It’s no wonder that we have over 1,300 new Mustangs on CarDomain.
Brian Fox built a pretty wicked S917 with an Extreme Dimensions wide body kit. I’ve mentioned Candy’s pink Mustang in the blog before–looks like she’s made some updates to her ride page. Sounds like the McKenna project is over, or at least on hold for a while. The Reaper has a lot of fans on CarDomain. I really dig Mustangs in Grabber Orange. And Leo’s "Mach 1 Tribute" is pretty cool, too.
The guys on Stangnet seem to like superchargers–check out Tom’s Vista Blue Mustang and Bad Boy Boogie. And of course Stangnet founder Michael Raburn has a pretty amazing S197.
Next week John is set to tackle the Subaru Impreza, and we’ll be featuring some rides owned by NASIOC members.

Fox Marketing vs. Yank Performance on PIPES
Posted by: Rob Editor-in-Chief |
This Saturday on PIPES (10:30 AM EST on ESPN2) it’s Fox Marketing’s 2006 Scion tC Coupe vs Yank Performance’s 2002 Chevy Camaro. Fox Marketing set a baseline of 11.71 in the quarter before spending $3,500 on gear including a ZPIracing turbo kit and a nitrous system. Yank Performance set a baseline of 11.21 in the quarter before adding $3,500 worth of mods including a twelve bolt rear end with 4.56 gears and a nitrous system. So who will pick up the most time from their mods and make it to the Round 3? And how much time will they pick up? Post your guess before the show airs with a link to your ride page. We’ll send some PIPES swag to the CarDomain member with the best guess. |

PIPES TV
Posted by: Rob Editor-in-Chief |
Our friends at Fox Marketing and ZPI Racing managed to get their cool little Scion tC coupe on PIPES TV, a new motorsports reality show on ESPN2. The first show airs this Saturday, so check your local listings. And be sure to check out the Scion’s ride page and leave Brian a comment in his guestbook. A few other PIPES teams have CarDomain ride pages as well: Blue Collar, Motorsports Authority and Yank Performance. We’ll keep you posted as more PIPES ride pages get added. |

Fox Marketing Wide Body Mustang GT
Posted by: Rob Editor-in-Chief |
My buddy Brian over at Fox Marketing sent me this mockup of the Mustang he is building with the Extreme Dimensions body kit, ProCharger Supercharger, BOZE Forged wheels and BASF R-M paint. The car will be featured in 5.0 Mustang in early 2007. Of course Brian had already built out a ride page on CarDomain for this Stang (as he does for all his cars) but somehow I had missed it. Brian has put together some really killer cars over the last few years. Check out his full garage on CarDomain. His turbocharged Versa got a lot of attention at SEMA. |

Turbo Versa

Fox Marketing put this little Versa together in two weeks. With the ZPI turbo kit it’s pushing 270 HP. The Versa sports Impul front and rear bumpers and it’s finished off in BASF Saphire Blue. Look for some major changes on this car before you see it again at NAIAS. For more on this car check out Fox Marketing’s CarDomain ride page.
