2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt at CarDomain Headquarters
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
We’ve only had the Bullitt a few hours but have already had several fights over the keys. It’s amazing how many errands needed to be run today. Our test car came with almost 12,000 hard miles on the clock, but the clutch still feels pretty good and the cars seems pretty tight. The engine pulls nicely, we love the feel of shifter and the exhaust sounds pretty tough. Oh, and the Highland Green looks amazing. More pics after the jump, and stay tuned for more on this cool little pony car.

We're Getting a Mustang Bullitt on Tuesday
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This walk-around video, which I shot while talking to Mr. Angry at NYIAS in March, is the closest I’ve gotten to one of these awesome, limited-edition Stangs (you can see the pics I took here). But Ford is tossing us the keys to a Bullitt for a full week on Tuesday. So what should we do with it?

Car Chase From Bullitt linked to Google Maps
By John Coyle
Editor
When I watch the chase scene from Bullitt now, all I can really think about is how the crew had to completely detune the Charger so it wouldn’t totally walk away from the Mustang. But it’s still a great fun, and I really dug how Seero user Steve_McQueen linked the footage to a Google map. It takes a while to load, but it’s worth the wait. Enjoy.

Challenger vs. Bullitt
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Edmunds just the put the new Challenger up against the Mustang Bullitt. The Bullitt comes with a manual tranny, weighs 600 pounds less and is $5,400 cheaper. But the Challenger smoked it in the quarter, edged it out in the slalom, has a higher quality interior and a usable back seat. Hmmm….

Favorite Car Movie Moments
By Ron
aka WayTooFurious
With all the recent talk about the new Fast and Furious movie, I have been thinking about my favourite movies that have great car moments. Here’s my top fivethese may not be the end-all-be-all of automotive cinema, but they’re the moments that stand out for me:
1. Bullitt. Most people automatically think about the Mustang chase scenes, but when I think of the chases its the Dodge Charger that comes to mind. I can remember being a little kid and seeing it for the first time and thinking that the Charger was the coolest car. Also, if you have read about the making of this movie, you’ll know which car needed the least maintenance as a result of all the hard driving that took place. Thats right, it was the Dodge!
2. Mad Max. The two-door Australian Ford coupes used in this movie were always cool, and when they were modified for the film they became even cooler. What I really like about this film is that I just have to take a short drive from my house and I can find myself on a lot of the roads that this movie was filmed on.
3. The Blues Brothers. Lets be honest, how great would it be to drive through a shopping mall? Minus the people of course. This movie really had it covered for originality. Who could forget, "the new Oldsmobiles are in early this year?
4. The French Connection. Without a doubt this movie has one of the greatest car chases of all time. What I find interesting is that the car crash during the chase was unplanned but was left in the movie because of its realism. The producers paid for the repairs to the smashed car.
5. Every James Bond movie. Ok, its a rather broad selection, but if its cool cars that you want then Bond has always delivered.
So thats my top five. Whats yours?

Bullitt – The Mustang I've Been Waiting For
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
I’m a huge fan of the S197 Mustang, and the Bullitt is my favorite version yet. Maybe it’s the Dark Highland Green. Maybe it’s the no frills look. But this car is just perfect. More pics after the jump and I shot a quick vid, too.

Happy New Year!
By Rob
Editor-in-Chief
I’m predicting 2008 is gonna be a great year for gearheads. Why? Cause a ton of cool cars will be hitting dealer lots. Here’s my list of the ten hottest cars for 2008 (and this is our last year-end top ten list, I promise).
2. Dodge Challenger. Though I still have to see it in person.
3. Tesla Roadster. Ignore the doubters and the haters.
4. Mustang Bullitt. Worth it just for the Dark Highland Green.
5. Corvette ZR1. The Veyron is silly–this is a real supercar.
6. Impreza WRX STI. Sure, it won’t win any beauty contests, but it’s better than ever.
7. Mitsubishi EVO. Might not please the purists, but this is a much improved car.
8. BMW 1-Series. Long live the 2002.
9. Chevy Malibu. Does Detroit finally have a Camry beater?
10. Pontiac G8. V8, RWD, good looks and under $30k–what else do you want?
