Metal Flowers Media is looking for dedicated gearheads to fill out the cast of the show’s third season, and to be considered, all you have to do is make an audition tape. Well… it’s over. Bullrun Season II has finally come to a close with a grand finale between team Corvette, Avalanche and Shelby. To give you a quick overview, the season went something like this:

Episode 1: All teams meet and try to size each other up. Team Evo makes a big impression by acting like tools, instantly pissing off all the other teams  and becoming the show’s first “bad guys”. The challenge contained team Shelby, Ferrari and Porsche. Team Porsche had clutch problems and ended up going home due to a missed shift in the challenge.

Episode 2: Teams try to figure out how the game is played. The challenge pits teams Corvette, Pantera and Evo in a jet ski/park your car challenge. Team Pantera has some mechanical issues, but makes the challenge only to end up loosing and going home because they were too slow. In this episode we learn that yes, Elvis can actually drive in those boots.

Episode 3: By this time everyone hates Team Evo and wants them gone. In the third challenge, Blind Run, teams Evo, Ferrari and Avalanche had to drive through a closed obstacle course blind folded. Team Ferrari choked due to Elena’s poor instructions and thus got the boot.

Episode 4: Probably the best episode of the season. The Prison Break challenge ended up totaling two cars. Teams Avalanche, Evo and Dart were up. The Evo got totaled because they couldn’t drive on dirt and blasted through the finish line into a concrete divider and the Dart rolled over because they were showing off behind the scenes and flipped the car… DOH! Team Evo got the boot because the car was COMPLETELY totaled, Team Avalanche won and walked away unscathed and Team Dart fixed (well sort of) their ride and continued on.

Episode 5: A little lack-luster in the action department after episode four, but non-the-less a fun ride. Teams Camaro, Solstice and Corvette got put into a light bulb drag race / slalom course… I know it sounds confusing. Team Camaro ended up locking up the brakes at the end resulting in them getting eliminated. This kinda’ sucked because I was really interested in seeing what that Camaro could do.

Episode 6: Nothing really spectacular here. The challenge was cool, but kind of hokey with Goldberg firing a mock-grenade launcher to kick off the event. Teams VW, Avalanche and Dart went head to head with Team Dart coming in last and going home. This was however the first time Team VW got to really show they could drive in the VW Bus and that, in and of itself, was pretty cool to watch.

Episode 7: Everyone is now starting to get serious as the remaining teams are all now gunning for the win. A very dirty challenge put teams VW, Avalanche and Solstice in a dirt track extravaganza with all participants driving stunt cars that were chased by fake police cars. Team Avalanche did well as did Team VW. Team Solstice, well… not so good, as they spun out and got eliminated.

Episode 8: Episode 8 was the first time that Team Lexus was put into a challenge and it was obvious that they were ready to go home because they didn’t seem to have any get up and go when it commenced. Teams Avalanche, Lexus and Shelby needed to go through an obstacle course and e-brake through a glass window. Teams Shelby and Avalanche did so like they were on a mission and both sustained damage. Team Lexus just cruised it and ended up going home.

Episode 9: Operation Butterfly was set-up by Team VW. The challenge required them to back out of a parking space, spin around and take out some glass bulbs. Team VW thought that by opening their doors it would help by giving them a bigger footprint. All in all not a bad strategy, but in the end it unfortunately didn’t pay off because they got beat by teams Corvette and Shelby. These guys were fun to watch and it was a shame to see them go.

Episode 10: Avalanche, Shelby and Corvette remained. Tensions in the cars were on the rise as this was their last shot at winning. After navigating through the first two check points, the teams ended up at London Bridge Raceway in AZ. The challenge was that teams were to be launched from the back of a moving ramp truck, then they needed to spin around and get back on it. Honestly, not overly exciting and over way too quickly. Team Avalanche nailed it, as did Team Shelby (I think they messed up every body panel on that car by now), but unfortunately for Team Corvette their traction control kicked in upon their entrance to the ramp and knocked them out of the running. In the end Team Shelby became the victors of Bullrun Season II with Team Avalanche in second and Corvette in third.

And there you have it, another season of Bullrun is behind us. So, what did everyone think? Good, bad, indifferent? Let us know…

Ok guys, this is it. The season finale of Bullrun Season 2 is tonight! The first person to guess correctly who wins will get some Bullrun swag directly from Andy Duncan. Oh, and I hope I’m all caught up shipping beanies to the prior winners. If not, shoot me a PM.

Last night’s episode brought out the fight in the final four competitors of this season’s Bullrun. Team Avalanche, Corvette, VW and Shelby all stepped to the plate. In the beginning, Team Shelby jumped out of the gate with flying colors and came in first at the checkpoint in Scottsdale, AZ followed by Teams Avalanche, Corvette and VW.

From there it was onto checkpoint two at Firebird International Raceway. Spiro from Team Shelby touted himself as navigator extraordinaire, until he forgot how to read a map and brought them to Phoenix International Raceway as opposed to Firebird. Spiro had an alibi, however, the naked ass of a big man and how he shot them the moon and threw off their concentration.

Team Avalanche came in first to Firebird, thus putting everyone else in the Challenge. Corvette, VW and Shelby duked it out in a rather entertaining competition where they had to back up, spin around and run through some light polls. Team VW’s operation Butterfly was a good idea, and honestly, I thought they nailed it. Apparently I was wrong because they got the boot. Oh well, can’t win em all I suppose.

Corvette, Avalanche and Shelby remain. It’ll be a good match up, so stay tuned until next week’s final elimination. Team VW: sorry guys, ya’ll were a blast to watch, and you should be proud—you’ve done things in a VW Bus that have never been done before…

After a week hiatus Bullrun was back on Speed for another episode. The teams went through four seasons in one day and it seemed to be taking its toll on everyone. The VW started the day in the snow with a dead battery, and honestly, I feel bad for those guys as they always look cold. Team Shelby started coming up in the ranks as Team Lexus went down. Right from the get go Team Lexus seemed as though they had just given up, and who knows, they might have, because all signs pointed to them just wanting to go home.

Now if you’ve been watching you’ll know that Team Corvette and Team Avalanche don’t play well together. Team Corvette has been coming in first and throwing the Avalanche into the challenges. I think they’ve been in four or five so far. Doesn’t seem to matter what gets thrown in front of Bear though, as that Bama’ Boy just runs it on over with that big Chevy. Last night’s challenge proved no different.

Teams Avalanche, Lexus and Shelby went into the challenge tonight, which consisted of knocking down targets that were surrounded by large water barrels and then running through a pane of glass. As stated, Avalanche nailed it, but also nailed the rear quarter of their truck caving in the lower quarter panel. Team Shelby also did a great job, but not before taking on damage as well. They limped away with a dented rear quarter and a rear bumper that was scratched to sh*t. Not good.

Team Lexus took it nice and slow as if they already knew they were going home. They limped it around the track very carefully with no drama. Because of this, though, their time suffered and they got the boot and I am sorry to see them go. Now we’re down to the final four and with Team Estrogen gone it’s time for the other teams to put those go-go-gonads on the block and turn it up a notch. Next week should be interesting.

So I guess Bullrun got bumped for Barrett-Jackson last week. Anway, Team Solstice was the last team to be sent packing. So who will go home this week? First three CarDomain members to correctly guess who gets eliminated in episode four before the show airs get CarDomain beanies!

As we all know, Team Evo hit the road a few episodes back, and now it looks like Team Avalanche has taken their place as the new rally bad boys. An off-camera skirmish between Avalanche and Team Corvette has popped up and for some reason Matt seems to be taking it pretty hard as he’s the one screaming and yelling the most. The first half of the show was somewhat uneventful with all the teams playing “which way do we go?”. When it came to this week’s challenge, we had yet another off-road adventure, this time in stunt cars. Contestants took to a mud-covered raceway and had to do three laps while being chased down by other stunt cars whose sole purpose was to knock them off course. Teams Solstice and VW came in on the bottom two spots which meant they were challenge bound. Team Corvette came in first and then put Team Avalanche in the challenge as retribution for the off-camera altercation. Avalanche was pissed–they have been in almost every challenge and almost every time have come out victorious. Last night was hardly an exception (ok, they came in second). Love them or hate them, you have to admit that they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to driving.

For the second week in a row, Team VW was thrown in the challenge and nailed it as they posted the best time. Unfortunately though for Team Solstice, that meant the end of the line and they headed home. Tony and Theresa: if you’re reading this, you guys were one of my favorites and it was a pleasure to watch you two compete.

Next week’s episode should start to get really dirty with only five teams remaining. Tensions are growing stronger, alliances are gone and it’s every team for themselves. It should be good, so stay tuned.

Bullrun Episode Six has now come and gone, with our favorite little green Dodge Dart getting the boot. For the participants, this is the point in the show where they are probably starting to think that they may actually have a shot at winning. The weaker teams have been let go and those who remain are there either because of driving skill or navigational prowess. More…

Teams Avalanche, Shelby, Corvette, Lexus, Solstice and VW are our remaining combatants and it’s going to be interesting to see who comes out on top. It’s obvious that Bear can drive the Avalanche as he did in last night’s challenge, but last night was the second time that that right front tire gave them problems. Generally the third time’s a charm–I just hope it happens to them on the road and not in a challenge. Team VW also blasted out of the box last night. They took that old bus, used the front bumper for a shovel on a few occasions but managed to really rip it up on the dirt course and showed they weren’t afraid to beat on that thing in order to get the job done. Team Dart… sorry guys. I know it sucks to go home but ya’ll fought hard and did the Dart community proud.

As for the others: Team Lexus knows how to navigate, but I have a feeling that they are now going to have a target on their backs as they have yet to be in a challenge. Can they drive? Well, we don’t really know. You may have noticed that Team Solstice was also having problems. Sounds like the turbo may be crapping out on them–not good. Teams Corvette and Shelby, hmm… they can both drive, it’ll be interesting to see though who comes out on top when they go head to head. The Desert Blitz challenge was kind of dopey, but fun nonetheless. I’m still waiting for some type of road or auto-x challenge where participants will really be able to show their skills.

I’ve been getting emails about what car I would recommend as the best all around vehicle for this show and in my honest opinion I would have to go with a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. All wheel drive, huge power and decent ground clearance. Only modification would be a fuel cell in the back and you’re good to go. As for my pick for next week’s departure–I’m thinking Team Lexus.  I just have a feeling about this one.
