Who Had the Best Super Bowl Spot?

By John

For most people, commercials are the highlight of the Super Bowl, and while the General was the only one of the Big Three to air one, there were still some awesome automotive spots. Cars.com offered some interesting negotiation techniques, Bridgestone narrowly avoided killing Richard Simmons and Alice Cooper, Audi introduced its snarling R8 in a sweet Godfather-themed spot, Garmin used Napoleon to drive home that their units are small and powerful and Toyota used badgers and big wheels to great effect. Which was your favorite?

F-150 Still #1

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

The Ford F-150 maintains its #1 ranking on the Cars.com American Made Index, with 80% domestic content (the index takes total sales into account, so some vehicles with a higher domestic content, like the Silverado, are lower on the list). The Toyota Tundra moved up to the #4 spot, but the Camry fell off the list. More at Cars.com.

On another note, Branden’s Saleen F-150 (below) is pretty sweet!

New Accord or Malibu: Which Would You Choose?

By Rob

Editor-in-Chief

Chevy’s new Malibu is gunning for the Accord and Camry. Chevy is so confident about their new family hauler, they will have Accords and Camrys on dealer lots so that you can test drive all three in one place. Meanwhile, Honda redesigns the Accord every four to five years whether it needs it or not, and their latest version looks to be pretty darn nice. So which would you rather have?

Killer Wire Camry!

Artist Benedict Radcliffe crafted this Camry sculpture for an advertising campaign in the Middle East, and I think it’s incredible. Looking at this photo, it’s hard to believe it’s even real, and not some clever PhotoShop doodle, but the other shots are even more trippy. Here’s hoping it finds a good home after it helps move some units.
