Well, it’s that time of year, and I’m getting all set to head to SEMA. This will be my fourth trip to the big show, and while there are always tons of last-minute things to get done, I’m way calmer than I’ve been in previous years. To be honest, I’m less nervous about covering everything than I am curious about what the floor will look like. Times are tough right now, and the whole industry is hurting.  How evident will that be? We can only wait and see. But let’s talk about something happy, like free stuff! Well, I’ve been down in sunny SoCal for almost a month, and I can say the only painful thing about the move has been changing my holiday plans. Getting a flight home—it’ll always be home—to soggy Seattle for Thanksgiving cost me peanuts. But my changing my Christmas flights? Ugh. I bought tickets to see my Florida fam back in August, and [unnamed travel site] totally gave it to me for changing my departure city. It was brutal. For the last two days, it’d been raining here in La La Land. Apparently, this is an incredibly rare occurrence, because it was the only thing anyone could talk about. The fact that it’s so rare was particularly comforting to me because first, multiple days of drizzle is not what I moved from Seattle to experience, and second, at about four AM Tuesday, I discovered that the ceiling in my room leaks. Good times. But enough about not-so-sunny California, let’s get down to business. Now, most of the time, I have a hard time making a decision about a winner—but this one couldn’t have been easier. So over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been screwing around with CarDomain, which is why you may have noticed that the homepage hadn’t changed at all.
