I’ve been at the LA Auto Show all day, which was kind of tedious, because of a near-total dearth of real news. But hey, this economy is pretty chilly, so it’s not like I expected manufacturers to be handing out glasses of champagne or anything. Of course, Rolls-Royce held a champagne reception, but I could have used a few more than the one I scored. Well, it’s that time of year, and I’m getting all set to head to SEMA. This will be my fourth trip to the big show, and while there are always tons of last-minute things to get done, I’m way calmer than I’ve been in previous years. To be honest, I’m less nervous about covering everything than I am curious about what the floor will look like. Times are tough right now, and the whole industry is hurting.  How evident will that be? We can only wait and see. But let’s talk about something happy, like free stuff!
