By Brett Powers

Ever had a question about your car but didn’t know who to ask? Have you ever joined a group devoted to your model of vehicle? Specific car communities specializing in makes, models, restoration styles, or motorsports divisions can be indispensable to whatever your project might be, and I’ve been a member of a few over the years. Killer Pics from the SECC's Cars and Coffee

By John

As you’d expect, the members of the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club have some pretty tight rides. Just check out these awesome pics from Saturday’s meet! Ace photographer Patrick Ernzen hooked us up with all these gorgeous shots, and while he said turnout wasn’t great, the field is still pretty impressive. Since I’m completely in love with the Ariel Atom—every single piece on that puppy matters—I was stoked to see all the pics of this blue one, and this Gallardo completely reinforced why I feel Lamborghini orange is the world’s most beautiful color. Check out the rest of Patrick’s handiwork over in our events section!

Are You Into Car Clubs, Or Are You a Lone Wolf?

By Ron

aka WayTooFurious

I have to say that I am looking forward to March, when my Chrysler club will be holding its annual car show; it’ll be my first time attending the show as a member. However, it may also be my last. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been a great club, with all the usual membership advantages: it’s a fantastic source of like-minded people, vehicle information, parts, and discounts. Plus it’s raised a lot of money for needy charities. The only disadvantage that I can see with car clubs is the politics. According to a reliable source, this is what’s currently tearing the Victorian BMW car club apart: the governing committee is unable to agree on how the club should be run and the direction it should take. Similarly, I have come to a crossroads with my club over its refusal to promote the kinds of events I enjoy most. The turning point for me was at the end of last year when I realized that they weren’t going to promote the Victorian Kustom Nationals. Now if you could go to a show and take your car to do circuits around a world-famous race track, wouldn’t you want to publicize it among your club membership? According to one of my friends, I don’t need a club because I’m a "lone wolf" when it comes to cars and car shows anyway. So what’s your car club done for you lately? Or are you also a lone wolf?

Sweet Kustom!
