What Show Car Style Do You Prefer?
By John Naderi
StreetFire.net
The SpoCom show took place this past weekend in Long Beach. Our complete coverage is posted over on StreetFire, but I wanted to share a few pictures of the cars on display. Check out the best of show: Lyle Engleson’s Auto Concept Elite 1975 Mini Cooper. The craftsmanship on this old Mini is remarkable with a custom widebody and a rear-mounted 408hp Borg Warner S362 turbocharged Honda K20Z1 driving the rear wheels. As much as I love the ACE crew and I appreciate the work that Lyle has put into his Mini this car just doesn’t do it for me. Do you agree with me or not? Hit the jump to see some other cars from the show.

Seattle Area All Mopar Spring Roundup on Sunday
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
On Sunday I’m driving the Satellite up to Everett for the All Mopar Spring Roundup. I’ve entered my ’66 in every Spring Roundup since 2004. This time I’ll bring a bunch of CarDomain t-shirts to give away, so if you want one, track me down. AMCs are welcome at the show, so Jen’s planning to bring her Concord, too. I’ll have tons of pics early next week, so stay tuned.

Hot Rod Power Tour: Me Too!
By Chris Allen
Motorfanatics
So with Ryan posting all these Power Tour posts lately, I’m starting to feel a bit like a slacker. Why? I’m covering the Power Tour as well! That’s right, this year CarDomain has two intrepid travelers embarking on the Tour of Power, making this THE place to get your Power Tour updates if you can’t make it (even if you can, check to see if we caught anything you didn’t). I’ll be flying out from LA on Friday night, arriving in Chicago at 12:35am where my dad is going to pick me up in the Pacer (pictured with my dad below) on his way through. We’ll be staying in Rockford that night and heading to Madison the next morning.

Speed and Beauty on Display at the 2009 All-Italian Show
By Sam Barer
Sound Classics
Coming of age in the Pacific Northwest during the Ford, Carter and Reagan administrations, exposure to Italian cars came in small and sporadic doses. Sure, there were the less-than-rare sightings of Fiats and Alfas, but the only Lancia I remember was my third grade teacher’s blue Beta Coupe, there was a kid at school whose father had a grey Ferrari 308 GTS, and I once – just once, I saw a white Lamborghini Countach driving up Clyde Hill driving home from high school.
This makes the phenomenal turnout at the Fiat Enthusiasts Northwest club’s annual All-Italian show at the XXX Rootbeer in Issaquah, WA more amazing. With 100 beautiful Italian machines congregating in one Seattle-area suburb, it’s proof that world has changed drastically in just a few decades.
Fiat, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, De Tomaso, and Lamborghini were all well-represented. Ferrari had the best showing with nearly a third of the total field wearing a prancing horse badge.
And, of course, the color of the day was Rossa Corsa. Between the cars and clothes, there was more red at the show than in all the Tarantino movies combined. Continue reading after the jump!
