Find Out Who Rated Your Ride and How They Rated It
By Ryan Porter
IN-N-OUT Editor
You have no idea how many e-mails we get about ratings. Members are constantly concerned about the members who’ve rated their car and until now we couldn’t really help anyone out all that much. Well guess what, now you can see who rated your car and how they rated it!
I don’t know about you, but I find this to be awesome. I’d much rather know who took the time to leave me a rating verses who left me a comment. From there I can check out their rides and leave them a more personal message.
To find this, go to your ride page, scroll down to your guestbook and click on Ratings on the right hand side.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
UPDATE: 12-18 8:15AM
I wanted to give you a heads up on a few changes that we’ve made. First we’ve gone through cleaned up votes from nearly 17,000 non-authentic users who over the years had joined only to leave bad ratings. We looked for users with out complete profiles who had been leaving notoriously bad ratings to everyone. (Our search was far more complex than my above statement but that covers the gist of it.)
Second, XTZTwinTurbo pointed out another behind the scenes feature that I would like to address. Behind the curtains there is a lot of magic going on to keep ratings fair and one is a tool to stop repetitive votes coming from the same IP or in other words from the same household. What this means is that uses can no log in from multiple accounts a the same location and voe for the same car weather it be good or bad. Tools like this and many others are all things we’re doing to make ratings the best feature we can. -Ryan

Why I Hate Buying a New Car…
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
Purchasing a new car has all the makings of a good mystery movie. Lies, deceit, cold hard cash and a cast of characters that couldn’t be made up even if you tried. You start off with the best intentions, thinking this will be a wonderful experience that will enrich your life. You read magazine after magazine in the hopes that the information contained within those pages will help you decide on the vehicle that best fits your needs. You ask friends, family and search the internet on a relentless quest to make sure that nothing in the way of information escapes you. You pump yourself up with a mental Rocky Balboa style workout and in the end you are convinced that you will win the upcoming war with the dealer.

Bullrun Episode Six: Dart is Dismissed
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
Bullrun Episode Six has now come and gone, with our favorite little green Dodge Dart getting the boot. For the participants, this is the point in the show where they are probably starting to think that they may actually have a shot at winning. The weaker teams have been let go and those who remain are there either because of driving skill or navigational prowess. More…

Corvette ZR1: You've hit the MOTHER LODE!
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
I’m not going to lie: sometimes being me has some distinct advantages, as I am one of the few people that gets to do what they really love–I get to play with cars. Case in point–last week I received a phone call from a good buddy of mine asking me if I was available for a 2-day quickie road trip to Bowling Green, KY to help drive his new brand 2009 Corvette ZR1 1100 miles home to Long Island, NY. Um, yeah… I’m available for that!

Bullrun Episode 4: Team Evo Gone… Dart Dead?
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
Wow, season II’s fourth episode really kicked it up a notch. We had yelling and screaming (VW guys at Evo), new rivalries (Avalanche vs. Solstice), cars being totaled (Evo & Dart), loads of obligatory explosions, and of course, Steve from Team Corvette. Not sure if everyone caught the “Behind the Scenes” moment where Steve made fun of Team Ferrari and if you didn’t it’s too bad ’cause this dude had me crackalackin’! Bravo Steve! We also saw a little sporting rivalry between Goldberg and Bear from Team Avalanche in regards to a Georgia shirt that Bill made him wear and that Bear eventually turned into an oil rag and tire cleaner.

BULLRUN Episode II
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
Episode II of Bullrun aired last night and although I still don’t like the new format, the show is getting better. The participants are beginning to come out of their shells and tensions seem to be heating up. Most of that heat, though, is directed towards the EVO. So far, aside from Chris being overly obnoxious, I really don’t find them that bad, in fact I kinda’ like them for the sheer entertainment value they provide.
Elvis and Steve from Team Strange are also up there on my fun to watch list, as Steve is just plain funny in a very understated way. Elvis, well… I just have to respect a guy who doesn’t give sh*t and flips the bird to conformity. I really hope these guys hang in there for awhile. Then there’s Brooke and Amanda, the two cuties from Arkansas. Brook swears like a NYC dock worker which is funny as hell, and Amanda knows her way around a map, which is why Team Lexus won last nights stage. I’m diggin’ these two chicks.

Bullrun Season II First Impressions
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
It’s been two years since the first season of Bullrun aired on Spike TV. It was met with mixed emotions by car enthusiasts. Some thought it was kind of goofy for a car show. Others, however, loved it. I have a soft spot for it because, well… I was on it. From an experience standpoint, it was probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. From seeing parts of the country that I never dreamed of, to doing things to my car that I NEVER thought I would do, to simply experiencing how a big budget TV show is made. All of it was a great experience.
I just finished watching the first episode of the new season on Speed TV and it looks as though some things changed for the better and some for the worse. First off, there’s WWE superstar and Bullrun host Bill Goldberg. In Season 1 of the show I think everyone felt that Bill was WAY under-utilized. He just didn’t have enough participation in the show and with the cast. This season it seems as though he’s more involved in the action, which is a really good thing. Bill is a no BS guy who just tells it like it is. If you screw up, he’ll tell you. If he doesn’t like you, he’ll tell you. And if he REALLY doesn’t like you, well, then you’d better move far away.

The Infamous Copper Cobra
By Mike Musto
RideLust.com
Every once in awhile a car comes along that makes me a bit nervous. Not so much because of what it is, but more because of what it does. Take this 1965 427SC MKIII Cobra from Superformance owned by New York Motor Club founder Larry Kosilla.
I have been very fortunate to have driven some of the fastest, most powerful cars on the planet, and they’ve all been amazing experiences. But this particular car may take the proverbial cake. Weighing in at 2,300 pounds, this Cobra sports a Roush Racing 408 Windsor stroker that puts out 495rwhp. Those numbers make for one seriously fast machine. Continue reading…
