Multi-Ethnic Family

CarDomain member Blaze, a former Face-Off winner and one-time Guest Blogger, is known for his commitment to American muscle and accustomed to blowing us away with burly burnout videos featuring his 1986 Crown Victoria. But no one could’ve predicted that what he’d do next is go pick up a Celica track car! It just goes to show you that the gearhead bug knows no nationalitytell that to the guys who automatically diss all domestics or all imports! And check out Blaze’s Celica, it’s awesome.

Lord of The Rings Celica

Jason’s Celica has what used to be a really nice color-change paint job. Then some airbrush artist got to it. Personally I’d feel kind of weird driving around with a bunch of bearded dudes plastered to my car, but hey, to each his own!

MKII Celica Supra

Winding Road has a cool article on the ’86 MKII Celica Supra. I always liked these cars (I wish they had never switched the Celica to FWD). Too bad so many of them rusted away. But Winding Road found a well preserved example in Cincinnati with only 40k miles on the clock. They took it for a day-long test drive and got a few pics along the way.

First-Gen Celica for the 21st Century

I ran across Koich’s sweet ’71 Toyota Celica in the forum at the Old School Japan Group. He’s updated this classic by swapping in a F20C Honda S2000 motor, then adding a cold air intake and a lot of aftermarket AE86 brake and suspension parts, including big slotted rotors. He’s also installed a carbon fiber hood from Restored, a company specializing in reproduction parts for vintage Japanese rides. This old Celica is probably the nicest one I’ve ever seen, but for some reason, Koich has more pics and info in the forum thread than he does on his ride page! What’s the deal, man? We want to see this page get built so we can get the story on what was surely a very interesting restoration project.
