Chevy Cheetah on eBay!
By Jen Dunnaway

I never really knew a whole lot about the Chevy Cheetah, a rare factory racecar designed in the early 60′s as a longshot competitor to the Cobra. But earlier today, I was leafing through this cool advertorial from Max Chevy Magazine on the new Ruth Cheetah replica kit, which is why I found it just a little freakishly coincidental to run across yet another Cheetah for sale on eBay: suddenly they’re everywhere! On the grounds that original Cheetah creator Bill Thomas lent his stamp of approval to the car, the seller insists that this one’s not a replica, but a belated "Continuation" of the original model run that ended in 1964 with only a handful of the aluminum-bodied cars produced. Hmm. Do you think the not-a-replica cred of the "Bill Thomas 1965 Continuation Series Cheetah" will get it any closer to its $100K Buy It Now price?
