Okay, I’m just going to say this up front: I love Coker Tire. They make reproduction vintage and period-correct tires for rides that you might not otherwise be able to find tires for at all, given the growing scarcity of obsolete sizes. Hell, they even make a reproduction Michelein TRX for the oddball metric tires my Escort GT came with from the factory–how could I not love them? Most of the re-pops have been bias-plies, which look good but have notorious problems with handling and tread life–a radial wears a lot better and features more predictable handling at speed, but until now have been really hard to find in hot rod sizes. The new Exselsior Stahl radial claims to solve all that, and will be available for shipping beginning January 1st. Too bad, because I can think of more than a few gearheads who’d want a set of these for Christmas. See the tire below the jump!
