From our Rides For Sale section comes this pristine ’77 Dodge Colt. I love how even in its current pics it looks just like the cars in the magazine ads on benetti’s ride page, right down to that mint red-on-white interior. She wants $5K for it, which might be a little high, but who knows? With their JDM styling, these Mitsubishi-pedigreed Colts could very well be a future classic. Check out the ad.

So we’re at Mitsubishi’s LA Auto Show press conference. And MMC President, Osamu Masuko starts in about the all-new 2010 Outlander GT. And we start checking our Facebook (oooh, someone liked our status and a friend of ours is taking a road trip. Hmmm, maybe we can tag along).

Suddenly this shot of a Lawson Mart flashes on the screen and visions of CC Lemon, Pocari Sweat and onigiri dance in our heads. But is that chica charging an i-MiEV at Lawson Mart? Sho nuff. It seems Mitsubishi has sold some 800 examples of the quirky little EV since it went on sale in Japan last summer. Mitsubishi also plans to have an EV on sale in North America in as early as 2011. As part of the promotional push the automaker will lease four JDM-spec i-MiEVs to Best Buy as part of it’s Geek Squad fleet (note to the nerd herd: watch those left hand turns!). The Real JDM

Speedhunters is doing some really cool stuff over on their collaborative blog/webzine. One of those things is the “Archive” section. While looking through my personal archives, I happened upon the Mitsubishi Ralliart Colt SR4X. This car was made by Ralliart in Europe and is based on the Colt, but uses an EVO VI drivetrain. There are several aspects of the design that are particularly well done. The widebody looks great and I actually like the stance. It’s not low, but were talking about Ralliart, not “Slammiart” and as such it fits the purpose of the car well. The adjustable rear spoiler is also very nice and the only thing I’d personally change is the choice of wheels. Otherwise, this is a pretty cool blast from the past. One more shot after the jump.

Check out this 1974 Dodge Colt that was found in a San Francisco junkyard wearing its original paint, with all the paperwork from the original owner. Nice score!
