Do Not Ask Someone Else to Hold Your Steering Wheel
By Jen Dunnaway
Editor
It drives me crazy when people do this. How could you even think to ask a random passenger to “drive” for you from the right-side seat while you take your hands off the wheel to futz around? This hideous wreck occurred when a driver, allegedly high in a Chevy Blazer carrying drugs of just about every denomination, got the passenger to hold the wheel while flying down a two-lane highway in Washington state last week. The passenger promptly put the Blazer over the centerline and into the grille of an oncoming Outback carrying a Canadian couple returning from vacation. Bodycount included the Blazer’s two rear-seat passengers, and the man driving the Subaru, who was killed on impact. The survivors were the two idiots from the front seat of the Blazer and the Subaru driver’s widow, 7 months pregnant. I’ll ask again: how freakin’ difficult is it to stay on your own side of the road? Full story via KOMO News, and video here.

Man Eating Funny Car Attacks!
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
This guy is hungry for more than just alcohol, it wants meat! A stud broke loose in the supercharger which ended up cracking the case, lifting the injector, and causing the throttle body to open. Lucky enough for the entree, the driver had a quick reaction time and cut the motor before launching down the strip. No one was killed, but this could have easily turned sour. Muddy Bentley Continental GT Wrecks
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
What, if anything, was this guy thinking? What bothers me more than the fact of a Bentley Continental GT being wrecked is that someone had to drive it down a muddy road to get there in the first place. These cars have no business driving down muddy roads, they belong dune surfing in Dubai or delivering tea to the Queen of England. Read more about the Mad Ass-Hatter at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

Crazy Flaming Carnage: 18-Wheeler T-Bones Dump Truck
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
We’ll start with the punchline. According to the Associated Press, neither driver in this massive collision was hurt. We can’ t fathom how that is possible because the impact looks like someone detonating a nuclear device, but we’re glad that it’s true. This is explosion quality that is normally only seen in Jerry Bruckheimer movies. How the dump truck managed to amble across a highway and directly in front of an 18-wheeler gathering steam to merge onto said highway is beyond us, but it happened. Pay attention to the upper left corner of the camera shot. This kids, is impressive stuff…

1955 Le Mans Disaster
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
The worst accident in all of motorsports history, the 1955 Le Mans Disaster is a great example of why we have rules in racing. With out rules, chaos presumes.
