Rice or Nice? Custom 1975 Corvette
Tampa Sports Car Examiner
This Corvette walks the line between unique and odd. The most noticeable features of this car are the static light conversion to the front end, and the red hot flames against the bright yellow paint job. But maybe that’s a face that only a mother could love. What do you think, is this rice or nice? Read more at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.

Barris Kustoms Releases a Custom 2010 Camaro, We Release Our Lunch
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
Some truly whacked stuff has left the doors of Barris Kustoms in recent years. There was that Prius for starters, but this 2010 Camaro “Spirit” beats them all by a country mile. A “kustom” that was constructed by swapping the grill for some chain parts store chrome and hideous paint, this is a sad addition to the Barris Kustoms legacy. And he plans to sell multiple copies through the Chevy dealer network!
It’s time for George to put the tools and ideas down and step away from the car. This is true even if the only tool he is holding is the screwdriver used to install the awful grille in the “Spirit.” When we read the breathless release that describes this car as “one of the hottest and long-awaited ‘kustom’ Chevrolets in history,” we were moved to laughter. Check out BANGShift to learn more.

American Muscle At Its Finest
Tcassa
A small but determined group of gearheads braved the wild weather and displayed their American beauties right in the heart of Melbourne this past weekend. A good mixture of old and new American iron was on show, with my favorite being this spotless ’68 Camaro. More pics after the jump!

What Are Your Favorite Personalized Plates?
Gotadime
Personalized plates always have been a large trend in the car community. Some people consider them to be the single object that ties everything together or completes the ride. Plates really tell a lot about a car’s driver, and can range from being funny, creative, descriptive and just about everything in between. Continue reading and see more plates after the jump!

On eBay: Incredible Twin-Turbo SEMA Corvette
Bick66
There isn’t much that gives away this ’69 Vette as a 1200-horsepower supercar–its slightly modified original C3 body and refined stance are only somewhat undercut by the implied performance of that through-the-fender exhaust. Take a closer look and you’ll notice that the body is concealing a twin-turbocharged 565 cubic inch powerplant cradled by a tubular chrome moly frame and modern Corvette suspension. Now, in my opinion the C3 Stingray is the most beautiful shape ever dreamt up, so I might be a little biased–but you can’t argue with 1200 hp nestled in such a perfectly updated package of modern features. I’m tempted to call this 2008 SEMA show car the most incredible custom Corvette I’ve ever seen. The guys at S/S definitely outdid themselves with this one.
More pictures after the jump, and check out the eBay auction here.

Wild Customized Creations from GM at Barrett-Jackson
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
There are always wild customized creations built by the car companies, to gauge the reaction to the potential car buying public. Some have been quite successful, while others are somewhat lacking as far as design, execution, or even taste. Here are five different examples of some wild GM creations, that are now being offered at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale this month.

One of a Kind Wood Ariel Custom on eBay
By Ron Honig
WaytooFurious
Besides being a car nut one of my other hobbies is wood working. I would never think of combining the two. However that didn’t stop the builder of this Ariel custom listed on eBay. Built back in the 50s, it is powered by an Ariel motorcycle engine and uses a Citroen suspension. It reminds me of a Clubman and it looks like it really would be a lot of fun. The only thing that I would add is some comfortable seats. So what do you think, would it be good to drive in wood? More pics after the jump!

SoundDomain Sound-Off
By Sean

- SoundDomain moderator Brian Murphy wanted a stealthy sub box for his Lancer Sportback, but nothing was available that met his needs. So what does a professional installer do when nothing is available in the stores? You make it! Check out Murph’s fiberglass sub tub enclosure build over in the forums.
- Team Bassick’s Bangin’ Burban build is coming along nicely. The steel cage for the subwoofer box is just about complete and man does it look burly!
- As of July 1st many states have a new law on the books that makes talking on your cell phone while driving illegal, unless you have a handsfree kit. Just as a friendly reminder, Scosche put out this public service
advertisementannouncement. - Steve Meade added three new videos to his mix.Two are new old stock that you haven’t seen yet but don’t want tomiss, and he also added a fresh vid of a new victim getting a taste ofthe Tahoe!
- In case you missed it, Texas Heat Wave photos are live!!

Shine On!
By Sean Cahill
Editor
When the sun starts to set, Spring Break Nationals really starts to shine. The NiteGlow Competition is a cool twist to the car show scene and offers a truly unique view of competitors’ show cars not usually available at your typical car show. This MKII Supra was one of the more subtle examples we shot, sporting a multicolor LED underbody kit that transitioned between purple, blue, and red. The collection of show cars on display were dressed in LEDs, Neon, strobes – even a full police lite bar on Crown Vic cruiser! Check out CarDomain events section for full coverage.
